They now call everyday, twice a day now. Number has been blocked since they started with this new one. I wonder if I would answer and tell them I reported them to my electric company-would that stop them?

These same people call multiple times every day about lower electric bills.  When I asked them who they were, they hung up.

Its a scam... I pick up... and scream in the phone saying "I DID IT, BUT THERE IS BLOOD EVERYWHERE!!!" and hang up!!!

I've received calls from 301-965-7899 for months, probably every other day. My caller ID doesn't give a company, just a location which is always Oxon Hill Md.
I never pick up if I don't recognize a number, so that's all I know.

By the way, spam and unsolicited calls from dubious charities to my landline really annoy me! I don't get around very well. I fall a lot. Most of my legitimate incoming landline calls are medical-related in some way. So here I am going faster than I should from another room to another, (so I don't miss a doctor office, pharmany, lab report, etc) only to get to the phone and see "Oxon Hill", etc.  Grr!

I called my power company to ask them what they knew about the caller, and they said if I gave the scammer my account number, they could switch my service to anyone they like. Including one with higher rates.

Don't give them anything..

If you don't care about verifing your phone number, you can mess with them...

Tell them you get free power from LGM on their special "Don't ask where it comes from. It's a secret." policy.. All I know is there is a wierd humming sound and a strange lights coming from under the chicken coupe, but you never heard me say that... Don't tell anyone that I have a 47 megawatt chicken coupe..with mutant chickens. I don't want to mess up a good thing.

Caller id says SERVICE CUSTOMER but call recording says it's to lower electric bill. I've heard about people who signed something and they get locked into long contract that's very expensive.

Same thing.  Same idiots. Different number.  Blocked again.

Are these the same scammers that I blocked under a different # months ago? The ones offering to lower your electric bill. I guess they realize everyone blocks them, so they start out with a new #. What makes them think if we block them with one number we will answer another? What a waste.

Called but left no message - but the Caller ID has appeared before under a different phone number.
