SPAM CALL!  Did not answer but left a message.  A robotic voice said to call some phone number saying they were from Sallie Mae.  The next morning I called Sallie Mae (from their number on the internet, NOT the one the robot said) and they said there was no reason they would be calling as my account is up to date.  BEWARE.

I keep getting calls from this number for the past 2 weeks, and no voicemail has been left. I've read the reviews that were posted, and if it were Sallie Mae I would have received a voicemail. No voicemails, just random calls all throughout the day, even holidays.

Somebody might have stolen your identity and the Sallie Mae bill collectors are coming after you thinking that you're the person that they're looking for.

And entering a report isn't like making a 800 notes complaint you have to verify who you are with lots of personal questions. Keeps the riff raff  out.

This number IS Sallie Mae. They are stalking me at home, work and now my cell phone. It is unreal..they call asking for name and social security number. Are they kidding? They called me and want personal info.They got rude when I refused.  I called back from a different number. the caller taker was rude (different rude person than the first) I advised her that I was glad the call was recorded for "Quality assurance" as I wanted to report her immdiately to a supervisor for her rude treatment.Ultimately I was transferred and spoke to a supervisor .I lodge my complaint about the callers and then told him I told him to reach me by mail only! Harrassment by telephone for personal info and for student loan information is not right for any organization.

I get called 1-2 times daily from Sallie Mae and sometimes they leave a message.  I don't have any school loans so I am assuming they are looking for whoever had my current number before I did.  Its rather annoying seeing as I keep telling them they have the wrong number >.>

Receiving calls to my cell phone from this number. I don't have any student debt whatsoever so if it IS Sallie Mae I don't know what the ever-living he!! they would want from me. They never leave a message and the one time I was able to pick up, there was no one on the other end of the line. Brilliant!

This is Sallie Mae.  I talked to a "lovely" female representative tonight and she claims they can call up to 8 times a day.  I explained that is harassment because they are leaving messages each time they call.  FDCPA states that once a message is left they CANNOT keep calling.  Dont get me wrong, harassment is in the ear of the beholder, but maybe if they got slapped with a nice CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT they would stop.  I'm not in this for the money by any means.  But something has got to stop the harassing calls.  They also block their phone numbers and call from other phone numbers like 909-259-0292.  We have told them that the bill will be paid online on the 30th.  She then said we would still get calls for another 3 to 5 days, even after we get an email confirming it and the money has been taken out of the account.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!

I did call back the number and it is Sallie Mae.  They called my cell at 8:02 am!!!!

Never had a Sallie Mae related loan but got a call from them this morning... a recording telling me to press 1 to repeat the message.  There was no message.  I have internet telephony so they are now blacklisted on my line.  Caller ID says Newark, DE.

this is sallie mae. they blow up my phone constantly. i love how they call you and then want you to provide your social security number & all that....excuse me?! you called me idiots....you verify just who the hell you are! i do have sallie mae accts and they can never help me with my issues....like not getting any bills and haven't been able to log on to my accts since jan 2013, sure they act like they are going to help me and are all nicey nicey but i have not paid them one red cent since they can't their sh*t together. i don't care if it "screws" up my credit. i don't have any to screw up...so don't care. if they would fix my problem with the online log in & i will pay them & then they won't have to call me. so go ahead sallie mae and pay somebody a wage for trying to harass me....cuz that's what caller id is for!!!!

Kelly Thomas is not a real person. It's an automated recording. Whether it's Sallie Mae or India, you do NOT have to answer or give them a damn bit of your information. I have loans with Sallie Mae, and I am forever bound by the massive chains of debt to these b*****ds. True, I made the mistake of going through them, but they have loans that you absolutely CANNOT get out of nor can you get much relief in paying them back. Don't ever do business with them. EVER.

This is definitely Sallie Mae. I owe them money, they are relentless, but I do not have it to give... and yes, it is Kelly Thomas that always calls now that you mention it... how strange.

I have several calls from this number.  Noname.  Telemarkerter.  m on the no call lists.

This number is for the private loans managed by Sallie Mae. I have student loans and this is the number I call if I need to speak to them.

They call my work cell non stop at 6 in the morning. I had to call my cell phone provider to have this number blocked. The voicemail left said they were from Sally Mae.

I think it IS Sallie Mae and all I can say is if they have a number to call, even if you're not the right person, even if it was just the person who had the number before, they will hound you forever. These are atrocious human beings. NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER GET INVOLVED WITH SALLIE MAE EVER! That's all I can say, people. You've got a relative that needs you to sign? Tell that relative you have a sense of self-preservation. You'd love to help, but you would love to not be mercilessly stalked until the end of your life only to have whoever gets your phone number next be mercilessly stalked until the end of theirs.

All of the employees, no matter how nice they seem on the phone or how much you *think* they are genuinely agreeing to STFU have advanced rabies and pray to Satan. 99% of the global population with rabies work for Sallie Mae. They are pure evil and insanity. Everything you ever feared hiding under your bed as a child is what all of them actually are. Fact. Anyway, I have a bunch of messages from this number, giving Kelly Thomas as the name. And I don't know Kelly Thomas and maybe she's just one of the good ones, but I assume she has major rabies and prays to Satan. I can almost hear the foaming at the mouth during the automated message. Nothing you ever say or do will stop them from calling. When you pee, they are watching you, telepathically. And they are laughing, with foam coming out of their mouths, if not elsewhere. If you ever want to live and pee without Sallie Mae's evil, mouth-foaming, psychotic, Satanic, rabies-ridden stalkers telepathically watching you as they dial your phone number, you must either pay them whether you owe them or not or live in a biodome with no phones. Those are your only options.

It is Sallie Mae. I received a call from them at my office. (They apparently were looking for my predecessor who had the same work phone number.) I called them up and they asked me for my account number and or SSN number. I said I was not inclined to give them my number, because I had not initiated the call, nor was I aware of any account number with Sallie Mae. They then asked me to give them the phone number that was dialed, I gave them my work number, and they in turn looked up the account through that. They asked my if I was John Doe, and I knew it was my predecessor.  

If you don't have any business with them and they still continue to call, take five minutes and ask who they are looking for. It stopped all of the calls to my office.
