This nunber keeps calling my cell phone with unsolicited robocalls. Why can't these companies be stopped.

302-339-4052
is located in Georgetown, Delaware.
Its exchange 339 is managed by OMNIPOINT COMMUNICATIONS ENTER.
The number is currently on switch number WNRTPAAHCMA (switch is a technical specification for phone hobbyists) .
I hope this information can be forwarded to the FCC. I tried to file a complaint but couldn't complete the form as requested.

I received two unwanted calls today from 302-339-4052. I am having trouble blocking this number.

If they're robocalling cell phones they're breaking the law right out of the gate, doubly so if they're calling numbers on the DNC list. Your "marketing tactic" is blatantly illegal and your comment that if people don't like it they can ask to be put on their DNC list "simple as that" misses the point. People shouldn't have to ask favors of criminals to get them to stop breaking the law in the first place. If your company is doing the same, I hope the law catches up to you.

this doesnt work either...
para 2012-10-26 22:53:16 Unknown
this no just rang my cell... two times today...there has to be a law about robo callers! anyway to block on phones?

There is nothing legitimate about any of these energy scams. They (you) are already in violation of DNCL. What they (you) deserve is a formal complaint and a loud whistle in your useless ears. You actually deserve much worse than that, but let's keep this site "family friendly".
Eddie 2012-10-26 21:01:10 Unknown
Guys, I work in the energy supply industry - not for this particular company, but for a competitor and I understand what they're doing. Annoying as it is, it's a legitimate marketing tactic and it's not a "scam." If you don't want to be called, just tell them to put you on their Do Not Call List. Simple as that.
not Michael 2012-10-26 20:19:28 Unknown
For a scammer the Do Not Call List law is just one more law to break.

I am on the do. Not call list. Why am I getting these calls
Diana Schulze 2012-10-26 18:56:25 Unknown

Have been receiving a number of unwanted calls on my cell phone from 302-339-4052 regarding changing my electricity provider. i am on the do not call list, do not want to change my provider and do not appreciate 3 robo calls in 2 days regarding this. PLEASE PUT A STOP TO THIS.
Jen 2012-10-26 17:10:59 Telemarketer
The robo caller claimed to be from some government agency telling me my electric bill was up to date and I was eligible for some type of assistance.
Called the Department of Public Utilities in my state and they confirmed it was a scam. Report to FCC auto dialers selling new services are illegal. Also misrepresenting themselves as the government is illegal.

Called my cell phone. Saw the number, didn't recognize it, didn't answer. So much for FTC rules about robocalling cell phones.

Called my cell 3 times in less than an hour, no message. Called number back & they give recording saying "thank you for calling back, if you'd like to be removed from our list please press 1"
Jimmy 2012-10-25 23:49:50 Unknown
Energy company scam. Just block the number if you can. Called twice today, second time left a message, so I know it's another one of these robo-call nonsense things. Something about "government assistance". Clearly a scam.
JinNJ 2012-10-25 23:31:30 Unknown
got called twice in past hour - no message left either time - smells like scam
