Just cancelled my premiums 3 days ago and calling me about adding them back!

This number is DIRECTV. They call at least once if not more a day. They are trying to get you to get the Starz package.

I received several calls from this number on my cell in the last week.  They never left a message and most of the time I just hit ignore.
I recently cancelled my premium stations just before the free period was up.  I figure if it gets ignored enough they'll quit calling.  If not, I'll tell them to put me on their do not call list.

HUH?  what Premiums?  Do you know who is calling?  Who is it?

This number calls everyday.  No one ever answers when you answer the phone.  No person on the other end, but they are not hung up.  I answer normally, then get very annoyed when no one says anything at all, but I know the phone is still connected because no dial tone comes on like when a person hangs up first and your still there.  I don't know who is calling but I am sick of it.  I don't have time for games, I have a handicapped husband and am handicapped myself.  We need this to stop.  We are on a DO NOT CALL LIST. It is crap that people can bother you like that.  The phone is for emergencies, and for friends calls.  Not for harassment from businesses.

I changed my telephone number but didn't give them the number.

I am sick and tired of getting calls from this number in the middle of the night.  Can't wait to drop DirecTV!

Calling several times a day! Very annoying and no caller ID and my phone provider no longer offers call block. My number is registered with the do not call directory. How do I get these calls to stop?

I actually got ahold of these f***ers tonight. They called me once about an hour ago and I had the same experience that a lot of you have described. I answered, heard a very quiet beep, then the line disconnected. I called back immediately and sat on hold for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, i was reading your comments on this page and decided that I wasnt ever going to get to talk to a person, so I hung up. They actually called me back a short time ago. I've noticed in the past that when I answer these types of calls with irritation in my voice, they hang up, but if i make myself sound super chipper and friendly I always get a person. So, I tried my trick, and whaddya know, a nice young woman came on the line and asked for my wife. I asked who was calling and the girl identified herself and said she was calling from Directv. I told her that i wanted to speak to her supervisor, and she put me on hold for maybe 30 seconds then a man came on the line and i told him the same story i'm relating here. I also told him that id done some research and that lots of other people had experienced the same nonsense, then i asked for an explanation. He gave me some BS about their automatic dialer system and blah blah blah, then he tried to sell me a discounted rate on the package we'd had and just cancelled, and i told him to never make a sales call to us again. He indicated that he would comply and that was the end of the call. He and the girl I spoke to were both entirely pleasant and professional the whole time, so I find it difficult to blame them. Honestly, they're just doing their jobs, What I find reprehensible, however, is that DirecTV condones this sales tactic. Don't let them tell you that its not them, it is DEFINITELY DirecTV - identifying hold music and everything, when the girl put me on hold.

I make a point to be very nice and polite and give them a chance to do the right thing.  If they insist on not listening, the politeness goes away the next time I call.

DirecTV. They are f****ng criminals. They refuse to accept the fact I don't want to continue with premium (25 channels of old movies and uncomfortable sex). I had to file a claim to get the charges removed for services I told them I didn't want and never received.  A***ole called from this number. I told them I wasn't interested and they placed order anyway. They are crooked d****eads.

They call, say nothing, hang up.  Leave me alone!!

302-394-9559  .Driving me nuts. Called direct tv to complain,they say it's not them. Call the number back,just get  "  please mister ,let take  three steps" instrumental waiting for human for  HOURS.  Is this direct tv or not?

You crack me up at how you assume people are getting calls because they owe a debt.  Reading comprehension is obviously not your strength.  People are getting calls when they (a) don't owe a debt, and (b) have asked for the calls to stop.

If y'all would stop dodging the call and answer they won't KEEP calling.  If you owe a debt why do you avoid the call, just answer and tell them "I don't know what you're talking about".  If you DON'T owe, then listen to what they have to say and make a decision.  People crack me up!

Ah, Direct TV. Now I know who's been blowing up my phone for the past 3 days. Makes sense, I just modified my service package with them. Possibly why they put me on a list? I will have to give them a call. Luckily, my primary phone is my Droid. I can't block the call with this particular phone, but I set the number to go directly to voicemail. Hopefully, I can get some piece until this gets resolved... or until they forget about me.

When I answer a call from this number, they hang up.  When I call back I go directly to message hell.  Wait and wait and wait.

Received a call tonight and when answered they hung up.  Tried to call them back and it says please hold someone will be with you in a minute but no one came on and there was no identifying recording or even background music while on hold.  Just hung up.

So I called Directv and let them know about this guy. They can't do anything until they get more proof of what it is exactly what he is doing. I kinda hope the "smart" guy calls back so that then I can get him taken care of. Thought that someone out there might like to know that something is at least in attempts to stop this guy. Thanks and hope that he does not call you and get information from you that could make life hard for you.

I received a call as well asking me to spend more money on the package and that if i don't like i could cancel. Well I had tried it before and then canceled after 3 months. I told him that and then he started talking over me. I told him to stop and listen, then he hung up on me. I called back and sat on hold for an hour. I am calling direct tv. to complain because that makes me hot and they will do something about this the bad PR is going to kill the buisness.

Unbelievable.  I canceled my premiums TWO days ago.

This number has been calling my new cell phone number at off hours for the last couple of weeks, everytime i answer no response, call the number back and it says an agent will be with you shortly only to not answer the phone, So i type it in on google and see its direc tv, so i call, the lady set my privacy settings in my account so she says i will not recieve calls, then she proceeds to tell me that direc tv is offering me "Free" movie channels available after i just called to cancel my 90 day free package from when we moved!! they are always calling me with some bogus package that always screws you at the end of the day i got very frustrated considering im dealing with this crap on a saturday, I told the customer service associate how frustrated i was with direc tv and all the calls and strings that come attached with the service, i have spent hours on the phone with them in last months for various issues, Direc TV sucks and i will be switching to Dish or cable as soon as my contract is up

I don't have a clue who is calling me everyday 2-3 times a day. Stop it!!

They keep calling, but do not leave a message.  When I answer, there is no response.  When I call the number back, there is a recorded message saying that an agent will be with me shortly, but nobody ever gets with me...There is nothing but silence; no on-hold music, no recorded "an agent will be with you shortly"...NOTHING.  I called DirecTV to find out about this.  They told me it is an outside vendor.

This is direct tv.  I had to take the time to call them and requested that they stop with the annoying calls.  The agent changed my privacy settings and told me it would stop.......stay tuned.
