Yep got the same email as above looking for a home in Eria, PA. What a load of crap. I hate these people so much, preying on good people to rob them. Just make sure you never send anyone a single penny with the hopes they will send keys"USPS next day" it's always a scam. Never let them appeal to your emotions with the pretense of scripture nonsense, or fake medical conditions.

This number connected to someone scamming unsuspecting renters in Tennessee.  I knew it sounded too good to be true.  They responded to my Craigslist ad seeking a home to accommodate my family.  I got the following email from them.  From other complaint sites - they always use the same one:

Thanks for the reply, I am a single  parent family oriented and a good Christian  I am looking for a responsible and neat tenant for my single family home that will take good care of my house..  I had  to move to Miami FL after having a surgery due to a car accident that affected my spinal cord to live with my family to get help from them in raising my kids, I never wish to rent out my home but I had to due to my present condition so I decided to rent it out. I've listed the house for sale and I am ready  to take it off the market once I get someone who is ready to rent it because I will need the house after 5 years.                    

You can only driveby the house as I don't have anyone to show you the inside, I will send you the inside pictures so that you can see what the inside of my house looks like  because I am not dealing with a realtor concerning the renting of my house as I don't have to pay one and that's why the rent is low and the lower rent should be in exchange for the proper care of my house since I wont be around to take care of my home for a period of time.

My home is in good location with a conducive and good environment to raise kids I also want you to know that my home is in good shape and everything in my home is working perfectly, my home already has amenities such as the refrigerator, dish washer, washer and
dryer with hook ups, stove and gas cooker, all the utilities are also included in the month rent such has gas, electricity, water, garbage and the internet.

If you are still interested in my home I will send you the address of my house,the inside pictures and also send you the application form and once you put down the security deposit I will mail you the keys of the house and have it delivered to you through USPS next day delivery service , I will also email you the lease agreement once you are ready to sign it.
Note: Your deposit is refundable if you are not interested after receiving the keys and viewing the inside.

I looked up the address online and it is listed as a foreclosed home

I also got an email after placing an ad for a house in Eau Claire, Wis.  It was signed "Christian Home" and had to move to Dover, DE because of a spinal injury.  Reported to craigslist, but big deal, they're not going to do anything.  Can't show the property, but will send pics.  Will give the address to drive by.  I think not.  Also gave number for texting purposes (302)703-7927

This person answered my ad wanting a home in Indiana. Sounds too good to be true.

Same deal, in Boston, MA.  I put up a craigslist ad looking for housemates or a sublet, this person claimed the property was owned by a Mr & Mrs Lee who have recently relocated to Florida due to a parent's ill health.  The rent and security deposit are very, very low for a 2br/2ba home in this city.  Also, yeah, willingness to Fedex the keys to me rather than show the property in person is bizarre.  I've contacted a realtor who seems to have listed the property for rent for three times the amount "Mr & Mrs Lee" are asking for.

Same as above for a house in Portage. Will not reply to them, Don't want them to have my information. Wonder how many identities they have been able to steal as well as money.

I had the same reply to my search on craigslist for a house hunt.  Posted in Madison, Wi.  I could tell something was fishy with the eagerness to send the keys next day and unwilling to show the home in person.  I replied-sorry about your health, I hope you go to hell.  Sad that these scammers take advantage of people I hope justice is served somehow.

I also got their number for a house to rent in EauClaire WI. They said they moved to Florida for their family to take care of them and there were in a chair most of the time. English not worded well. Then after I asked for the address they provided me an address. I googled the address and it pulled up a realtor listing for the house. They had said the house was up for sale but not through a realtor. Reg flag imediately when again they were to eager to rent to a stranger. They wanted me to submit an application, send in a deposit then they would send keys. If I wasn't happy once I got inside they would refund the money.
Application was just a typed page asking basic questions.
Wonder how much money they have gotten from this scam. I replied to the realtor ad and will tell them about the scam. Picture is of a nice little house that does look unoccupied. Where can we report this kind of thing?

I had this "guy" respond to my Craigs list ad regarding a rental in Lima OH. Could tell right away was a total scam.

Also saw the listing in Boone, NC on CL.  Way too eager to have the money wired to them and not willing to provide a name or any contact information.  Email address used is househome160@yahoo.com and the other number used is (302) 265-3566.

Same number for a listing in Erie, PA. They won't give any location of the home, just details about the house. I don't want to answer them. I don't want them to have any of my information.

Same number for a listing in Boone, NC on craigslist. They approved me immediately for a home thatwas way too nice for the price.

I think you are right, Tom, but it would help to know what area you're in.  I'm in the Eugene, OR area.  

The number was provided to me as contact for a home for rent also, but the rent is too low, and the wording seems pre-written by someone who's first language isn't English, and who is trying way too hard to rent their house to a total stranger.

They emailed me providing this number as a contact to rent a home in my area.  They do not own the home, it is a fake ad.  They will take your deposit and it will not be returned.
