Got a call from this number. Very heavy accent. My caller id said Kingston, JM. They informed me that I had won $750,000. Knowing it was a hoax and I had nothing better to do so I told him how happy I was and they could just send me the check in the mail. But the guy said I would have to send them $3,500 before they would mail me the check. I didn't ask why. I tried not to laugh when I told them to go on and send the check and I would send them their $3,500 after their check cleared. Then I started laughing. The guy uttered some profanities that I could barely understand and hung up.

Called by this number: stated from the Globe and that recent credit card wasn't working. Unfortunately a different one was given over the phone. Should have known better.  From reading I note that this is a long established number??? 508-876-2003. Why hasn't it been shut down if it is a scam?

I keep getting calls from this number and it is an invasion and I would like it to stop.  Is there no one out there is this wonderful country to take control of the leeches out there??

People selling newspapers.  Have gotten calls from them on and off for the last year.  I tell them I'm not interested, do not call again.  they stop for a few weeks or a month and the calls start in again.  So annoying.

Nothing but gibberish and noise in the background.  Called 5 times in a row before I answered and yelled who the f...... you calling.  they immediately hung up.

Just got a call from this number. Couldn't get to it in time, but the Caller ID just said Out of Area with the phone number. Has anyone tried reporting the number to the phone company? Would they even do anything?

I just received one of these calls and someone responded after a few times of saying hello. IT IS THE WORCESTER TELEGRAM AND GAZETTE and they were very upset because I would not take a subscription. My response "how does it feel to get no reply"

I've been recieving 3-4 calls per day from this # as well. The question is whom should it be reported to? I'm guessing that the local phone co. won't do to much. ....perhaps reporting it to Susan Wornick, or an investigative reporter on any local Television station would be effective.

I just got a call from this #, didn't answer and no message left.  I read some of the other comments and The Telegram and Gazzette sales solicitations and customer service are now handled in Indonesia, have been for over a year.  If this is coming from a Marlborough MA exchange, it is most likely not the T&G.  If it was a local call it should have come from Worcester.

This is a SCAM.  They say you have won 2.5 million dollars, BUT you need to send them thousands of dollars to receive the 2.5 million.  They have scamed someone close to me.  So I called them to fuss them out.  He responded when asked who he was "I'm Reveran Thomas (his real name is Andrew).  He said he was calling my number because I had won 2.5 million dollars also.  But I would need to speak with his wife.  Said I wanted to meet with him.  The guy hung up on me several times before he finally listened to what I had to say.  I told him never to call that number again or I woud report him.  I reported him anyway.

I received a call from a woman this morning saying it was the Boston Globe. The woman said that my credit card didn't work this month, and she would be happy to take my card number over the phone to fix it. Scam.

Called this morning. I picked up because caller ID was not working on that phone. I said hello then got the "pause" which always tells me it is not a call I want to take. I was silent - heard someone say hello twice and I heard other voices in the background.

Automated message, New York Post customer service/delivery status.

They called and said they are from Boston Globe and asked if I want to subscribe and asked for my credit card number.. It just didn't feel legit.

I get calls from this number 4-5 times a day. my caller id only says Bellingham MA and the number. I have answered on several occasions and there's no one there then on others they hang up.As I get bussiness calls at the number they are calling it is not good practice to not answer my phone but now I need too. Yes it is harrassment

Got a call from this number - no message. I live in Vermont! I have caller ID, though and I don't need more newspapers. I just won't answer. Sounds like a scam to me!

caller claimed to be part of a marketing company selling newspaper. I called about 5 times iuntil someone picked up and asked them to please get me off their list!

I get calls from this number almost daily. I never answer and a message is never left. I would love to be able to stop these calls, but have no idea what to do about it. I am on the DNC lists. Thanks to all of you who have posted and helped to identify the caller. Very valuable information.

I received a call from this number too.  The person said Boston Globe and told me they needed to get my credit card number because the number I gave them was wrong.  I have a hard time believing this because I have been receiving the globe for over two months.  If there was an issue I would think I would have been notified before now.

I got a call from this number yesterday.  No message, but I did see the number when I got home with Caller-Id.  I called back today and a man answered saying what sounded like "Turnkey".  I didn't recognize the name so I hung up the phone.
