This is STC Travel according to Megan, not Denise.  And supposedly they're 'new' to the Delaware area! This sounds suspiciously like another travel company that was put out of business, by the New Jersey attorney general for 'fraudulent' practices late in 2008.  They've set up shop in Delaware now. DO NOT CALL THEM...DO NOT GO TO THE PRESENTATION!! AND whatever you do, DO NOT SEND IN ANY MONEY FOR AIRLINE TICKETS!!  You WILL NOT get the airline tickets.  You HAVE to send your money in with a 'travel voucher', that lists the date you want to fly and THEY book your airline flight for you..you get NO choice of airline, times, etc.  BIG TIME SCAM!! Toss the letter in the round file OR lead the caller on if you must, but eventually just hang up WITHOUT committing!

Got my letter this afternoon -- letter typed 9 Nov, postmarked 13 Nov from Phoenix AZ.  Called #, played dumb.  It's SRT Travel in Newark DE.  Doing further research on web, you need to sit thru a 90minute "infomercial" on something at their place before getting your vouchers.  It's a scam.  Never got any phone calls--but we have Caller ID and if we don't recognize the # we don't pick up.  No mgs left about free airline tickets either.

here is the skinny on the letters......Another poster was brave enough to call....lol  Hoffman Sims is a rewards redemption company.....what ever that means.....they were hired by a travel agency called SRT.  You have to attend a promotion telling you what they can offer you on travel deals....like flights, cruises....etc.  After the promotion you have one year to use the tickets anywere in the continental USA (before or after said holiday)......Taxes are not covered, and could run anywhere between $50.00 to $75.00 per ticket.  You cannot travel within a 7day window of any federal holiday, there are 9 in 2010.  The number I called was 302-526-5051, Delaware.  The place is located on AAA Blvd in Newark according to my operator.  Not sure if its bogus or not.  She gave me a website tolook up, other than the info@hoffmansims.com or www.hoffmansims.com......wwwtravelagencyappointment.com.
hope this information helps.

I called the number.  Set up an appointment.  Went to the event.

At first I was a little nervous.  It was at an old abandoned warehouse, 4400 Pacific.  When I first got inside, they informed everyone that we would be getting a slight anesthetic from a nurse, while they carve a tiny "V" in our necks to make sure there is skull.

Then the leader proceeded to inform us that there are aliens among us, and they have been here for years.  They only masked their true identities under a shell of skin.  They are really reptiles that are going to eat us, after they give us universal health care.

Worst part, after 90minuts, no airline tickets.

Recvd letter from 'Thompson Fuller', signed by Heidi Miller, VP Travel Awards Division. They identify you by the code in the lower right corner (AB-5****). Called and spoke with someone at 800 # who advised everythng described above. Supposedly STS Travel, Newark DE. Hand written envelope no return address,post-marked Az. -- As I tell my kids, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Into the trash bin. Should probably call the DE Attrny Genrl on this but not worth any more effort. Use your God-given sense folks!
