Yes we almost got scammed by Sgt. Tim Streets, alot of red flags, have a least 10 emails from him, yes the phone listed was the one used.  any additional info you need to stop this man and prosecute so there are no other else victims for this scam.  please phone at 480-861--7737- mike.  He still thinks we are open to purchasing although have demanded a copy of title which cannot be produced. Said he would be back in AZ in 2 weeks which was two weeks ago.  We did not feel comfortable with google checkout, he also said to place funds in a Liberty Reserve Fund and then would ship THE CAR.  hE SENT PICTURES OF THE CAR A GREY TOYOTA CAMRY , ONE OWNER.  He sent a vin number for Carfax and pictures of car etc.  I am so glad I read this scam report, at least my gut instinct was true.  PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS MAN......WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOU'RE CALL

I am sorry to bother you more but you know there are a lot of scams in car sales. Not having the car near, makes me nervous too. I am not familiar with Ebay Motors Buyer Protection but, I will ask a police officer friend who will be come later and we will take about this.
I wanted to know how will be the payment method?

Yea this guy is full of s***. He's been beating around the bush for a week now not answering my questions. I told him I would meet at DAFB today at 6 and now all numbers are disconnected. I knew it was too good to be true. What a piece of s*** this guy is!

Oh Boy, his newest phone number is 302.450.1412. We got the same email as above and spoke to the same person. Glad I too, googled this.

Holy Crap!!!! I was in the process of buying 98 Lexus for 3800 through Google checkout. I am truly appreciative that everyone came forward with this info. Buyers Beware!

I answered an ad for a 2006 Acura with very low miles.  Claimed his brother had a heart attack and he needed the money because his insurance wouldn't cover the cost.  I'm so glad I saw this before I made a big mistake!  He has a new number he uses now.  BEWARE.

I am so glad I found this!  I knew his offer was too good to be true!  Thank you, thank you!!!!  Someone should really investigate him and put him out of business.

See below the email I received from him today, is this similar to what you have received? I hope you didn't get the car.

Well I sealed the car in an US Air Forces warehouse at Dover AFB in DE. It is ready to be shipped and a truck service I have arranged will deliver it to your place. The delivery will be door-to-door, at your exact location, so you will not have to pick it up from somewhere. The current mileage is 147,000 and the VIN is JTHBF30G036003101 and yes the full price is $3600. Look at the attachments for more pictures with the Lexus and a carfax report.


So we will be using Google Checkout as a supervisor for the transaction. Basically they will monitor the entire process. They will secure the payment and they will also supervise the shipping process and they will make sure we are both on the same page. Once you get the vehicle and finish with the inspection if you want to keep it you can contact Google Checkout and authorize the payment so that they can release it to me.
If the car is not suitable for you for any reason, your money will be fully refundable and I will take the car back on my cost. OMG, just got a call too from this guy yesterday, he posted a Lexus ES for 3,600. I'm glad I googled him first. Thank you so much for posting this.

This is a scammer linked to a classified in the News-Journal (local paper) for a car with a price too good to be true - $3800. Supposedly a "Sgt. Tim Streets" from Dover AFB Security Squadron - calls from Delaware exchange (possible disposable phone or pre-paid card) - selling his car locked in storage  - speaks English with a French, possibly French African accent. Provides links to bogus cars.com, CarFax, and websites  to accomodate transaction - spoofs of Google Checkout - to provide financial information, account numbers, moneygram, etc.

Contacted Air Force Office of Special Investigations, local police, local attorney general office, FBI, but no one interested in investigating - either no jurisdiction or not cost effective to investigate although pervasive fraud.
