I get calls three four time day. The caller never leaves a message when the answering machine picks up.

It says DEFOP???  Does that mean Delaware Faternal Order of Police??? They are probably trying to get donations.

Yes...DEFOP stands for Delaware Fraternal Order of Police and Yes...they are
looking for donations.  The reason I got Caller ID on my phone is so I can see
who is calling and do not answer unwanted calls.  There is also another feature, CALL BLOCK.  So, if you dont want a call that constantly calls your phone..block the bad boy!  Its all pretty simple :)

I'd recommend to all who have been harrassed by constant calls from the DEFOP organization to visit their site and explain in your own desired tone of expression how you have become annoyed with their daily harrassment of phonecalls.  Also, on the DEFOP site, there are links to the webpages of Congressman Michael N. Castle ,Senator Joseph R. Biden, Senator Thomas R. Carper, as well as State of Delaware's Gov. page.  Perhaps it would be helpful to contact these individuals too.

The contents of the letters i've written or whenever they call go as follows:

"I used to make many donations to the fraternal order of police in the past and I was always happy to do so.  But now that I receive up to 3 calls a day almost every single day from DEFOP I have decided to no longer give anything anymore because you have become so damn annoying.  Soooo, F all you guys. don't call back anymore. This well is dry."

This stopped the calls for me.

But if they start again, I was thinking of commiting a MASS-posting of "for a good time call...." messages on every sick and sexually perverse website I can find on the web.

I dunno what could transpire from from such actions other than my own  feeling of satisfaction.

this person asks for me by name and attempts conversation first. it's only till i insist he tell me who is calling and the nature of his call does he then try to solicit money for families of fallen police officers. these calls need to stop!!!!

They have been calling a lot the last few days.  They should say what they want or leave us alone!!

They call 8 AM, 9 PM, and average 3-4 calls per day.  Never leave a message.  When call is answered and I tell them to stop calling I get MORE calls the next day.  Isn't this harrassment?
