Calls on a daily basis.  No message.

who is it, no message, stop calling already

KEEPS CALLING ALL DAY NO MESSAGE DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!

This is the San Diego Union Tribune's outsourced sales dept. I'll I can say is that they are persistent and hard to get rid of.

No message left.

They called and I didn't answer, looked them up and found this page.  Called the 800 number someone gave in an earlier post, and was referred to their main office number at 619-718-5005.  I called that number and the person that answered recognized the company name as their telemarketer.  I warned her than my phone number is on the Do Not Call registry, and if there are any further calls, I will seek the advice of the California Attorney General's Office regarding both the San Diego U-T and this Ed Sales Mgmt.  She said the calls should stop.  We'll see.

I got two calls from this number tonight, just showing up on caller ID as "Colorado call".  I answered the second one at 8:13 pm and after I said "hello" a woman said "This is Jaqueline".  When I asked who she was calling she hung up.  Very rude bunch.  After finding this site and reading Wendy's message I sent an e-mail to George Bonaros, the Director of Marketing for the San Diego Union Tribune, asking him to rein in these people if they are working for his paper.  I live in the San Diego area so I'm thinking Wendy's information is correct and they are working for the UT.  We'll see if this does any good (I doubt it will.)

I received a call during the day but last night I received one about 11:30pm.  I tried calling the number back and got the funky busy tone - like when the circuits are busy.  The first time I answered the call, there was some recording that said...something was not up yet, call back.  The strangest thing.

Is this an automated system?  what are the calls about?  is there an IT person to intervene?

I get these too starting in July 08,dead cold calls.

I call the union tribune direct and tie up an operator as long as possible at (800) 533-8830, at my discretion, whenever I feel like it.
Please feel free to join in, as the 800 costs them per call.
make sure to mention the out of state cold call number.
if enough folks call them and tie up their operators while complaining about the cold calls from out of state, it will begin to hurt them in the pocketbook and hopefully drive them out of business sooner than later.
Lets stop them outright, not one number at a time  :)

This IS the San Diego U/T. They will call you again, again, and again... never giving up - I've asked to be removed TWICE and they still keep calling. Might as well change you phone number - if you are on this list, you are screwed! Oh yeah, they will call you at 10AM on a SUNDAY!

Call with No message

got a call from this number on my cell this morning. not sure if a message was left, haven't checked. looked it up, found out its a cingular cell phone from colo. I'm in San Diego.

The San Diego Union-Tribune? Those people never give up and are beyond simply annoying. They called me at work before and when I explained this was a work number... well, they just kept on going with their sales pitch as if I had not even said anything. The San Diego Union-Tribune sucks!

Got a call from this number answered and no one was on the line.

Well they called again today and like the person above me, said they were the San Diego Union Tribune.  After I said hello they asked if my parents were there.  I said "What - I am a grown woman!"  Then they hung up.

Got the 1,000th call from these folks today.  FINALLY got someone to speak and he informed me he was calling on behalf of the San Diego Union Tribune.  When I told the guy to stop calling, he asked me to hang on while his manager verified the number.  Two seconds later a second guy came on the phone, confirmed my phone number, and said they'd stop calling.  I'll believe it when I see it....

Just got the call too at 9pm and there was no one there.  Googled the number and found this site.  Weird.

Same here, mo message left, won't stop calling.

Got a call from this number today, no message was left but called ID reported it from, "Ed Sales Mgmt" from Lakewood, Colorado.  I did a Yahoo and Google search of that name and could not find anything.

No message left.  No idea....
