Same experience. Same source. Asking for someone else. Obvious wrong number. Called back several times after we hung up. Arrogant, offensive. When told we would call police if they called again, the reply was "we are the police - working for the governor".
They called again and avoided the obnoxious stuff when asking only for my spouse or myself and left a callback number on the answering machine.
We have never lived in Colorado.

got a call from this number, they left a 1-800 number to call back and said it was very urgent, and it wasn't a tellemarketing or sales call

These worthless pieces of misery are debt collectors (supposedly) and they continue to call my home number (to my home, that I purchased and who my ex husband has never lived in) even though I've repeatedly told them he has never lived here (he's never even lived in this state that I know of) and they still call. I've turned them into the FTC and will sue them next if that doesn't work. I mean, seriously? He's my ex for a reason, and you really think I want to talk to anyone about him, nor give a flying flip where he is and what he is or is not doing... um, hello? I divorced him for a reason. These people are abusive and need to be shut down.
