"I have literally never attended nor purchased tickets to any sporting event, concert, event or whatever"
You must be the lamest person ever. Or morbidly obese. Or possibly both. Either way. Thanks for staying out of my way.

I received a voicemail from this number after attending a game I had purchased tickets for on the officiall Colorado Avalanche website. I looked back at my caller i.d. and these calls do come directly from the Pepsi Center offices. I called back & spoke to someone who said they are trying to boost attendance & have some deals. Also, they asked if I would be interested in season tickets. I respectfully declined &  also said I would order online when needed. The woman told me that I could always call back for discounted tickets. This  is a legit call. If you take the time to research the phone number further you will also find that this is a call from the Pepsi Center. Attendance hasn't been what it once was, think they're just trying to get people to attend!

Huh, weird to me how worked up people on here are getting when defending this stuff. I got the call too. Some young girl with Colorado Avalanche. The part that doesn't make sense to me, is that I have literally never attended nor purchased tickets to any sporting event, concert, event or whatever. In addition, I do not have a log-in for Ticketmaster. Anyway, direct marketing is annoying. If I wanted your tickets, I'd call you, but I'm going to go ahead and pass on the "opportunity" to drop upwards of $50 to watch a game. Thanks, though.

Don't any of you guys think for yourselves?  If you look at all the comments on this page, they span multiple years.  If this was a scam, people who have actually paid for tickets over the phone (like myself) would report the scam to the police when they never received any tickets.  I just received my tickets today for next season and I am super stoked! I am always careful with these sort of things so I guess I will just use my discount to make a profit on a couple games by selling them online to you fools haha.

You guys are all ingnorant.  These calls come from the inside sales department inside the Pepsi Center.  This IS NOT a scam and I actually was able to save some money on the games I already attend.  Any skeptics can look up any person on the Pepsi Center website if you actually do a little bit of research on your own instead of just listening to other people (including me).

YOU are the idiot. Neither my husband nor myself have been to a professional sports game in Denver. EVER. They did not come by HIS name associated with MY cell number (unlisted and on the do not call list for marketing) because we gave it to them at an event or while buying tickets from them. Ticketmaster SOLD my information to them after purchasing tickets to a completely unrelated event (arts... not sports), and then they started illegally marketing to me/us.

so maybe YOU are the one who needs to get their facts straight.

Apparently TicketMaster is selling it's user's information to marketing firms with the goal of selling tickets, because using the TicketMaster service lumps you into the "event tickets" marketing pool. If you went to an event, they think you might go to theirs. uggh.

I'm thinking about suing TicketMaster for releasing my information to their "business partner". I used my cell as the contact number to buy tickets for my husband to see several shows (tickets purchased in advance via ticketmaster every time) which explains why they would be calling for HIM on MY cell number to market to him.

I got a call from 303.405.1660 last night at 5:24.  The person left a voice mail and said he is Ivan Jones from the Colorado Avalanche front office.  He had some "exciting" news to share with me.

Yea, real exciting... basically if you ever gave ticketmaster your phone number when you were buying tickets for an event, TICKET MASTER SELLS OR GIVES AWAY YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THE EVENT!!!

Do me a favor ticketmaster... KISS MY A$%!

You people are buffoons, it's called direct marketing. It is the Pepsi Center's general ticket sales line. Don't be ridiculous, this is not a scam, they are a professional NBA and NHL team just trying to reach their fans who have purchased tickets. Grow Up.

This isn't a scam! It is simply a solicitation call from the Pepsi Center of upcoming games to the Nuggets (basketball) and Avs (hockey) in Denver, CO. They do not call to harass you. If you don't want them to call back; then, ask them to take you off their call list. You gave them your phone number when you bought tickets to the Pepsi Center at some point. Also, I have spoken to "Nick" myself and as long as you are pleasant to him, he will return the courtesy. Gee Whiz People. Give them a break. They are simply trying to make a living in a very hard economy.

Got a call from them a couple weeks ago while at school (just days after I bought tickets from ticketmaster to go to an Avs game) the guy said in the voicemail that he was from the colorado avalanche and wanted to help me get tickets. I didn't call them back. They just called me a couple minutes ago but hung up for some reason before I could answer. It rang only once.

I've received calls here and there from the Rockies, Nuggets, and Avalanche.  I actually purchased a ticket package from one of the callers last year.  It is actually legit.  These are just sales people that work for the teams.  Their job is to call anyone who has ever purchased tickets to games to get them to buy more tickets.  It may be annoying, but it is their job and it is a real job.  Their pay is based on their ticket sales.

yep same here- Denver Nuggetts exciting news- they actually called me TWICE - second call came 2 days after 1st one - but did not leave a message the 2nd time

I do live in Vail, CO and have been to a few Nugs games before - I think it's a new cold calling that they are doing due to the crappy economy.

Someone named Masheed called me and said the same thing as everyone else. But I listened to her and she actually sold me a really good deal on the Nuggets. She said we bought from the Nuggets before and they hold on to our numbers to let us know about ways to help us save. I'm fine with that though, I got my tickets for next season. GO NUGGETS!!!!
