I received a bogus Boingo charge on a new Chase credit card that I have not even activated yet. The charge was for $9.66. I phoned Boingo and they told me they had no record of that charge coming from my credit card, and they don't charge that specific amount for their service ever.  I asked them what they do and they said they are pay per internet service provider for people who are traveling.
I then called Chase and told them, that it looked like it was an inside job and someone from Chase had used my credit card to post a fraudulent charge, because there is no way anyone could have known all that info about my card. They then put me on hold and oddly they told me they would remove the charge without even investigating it, and they would be sending me a new card.

Something smell rotten in Denmark. I believe this is happening to so many people. $9.66 must be some sort of code for when they create these bogus charges, and someone calls in complaining. Imagine them charging 10 bucks fraudulently to millions of people!

No one needs to ask why the bankers are so rich when you see this!

You guy's need to contact your banks and file for fraud and file reports with the agency's for your country. 800 notes is simply a board to post complaints about the phone numbers so others can see what is going on!

It is claimed illegally from credit card. I wish the cancellation.

Not sure if I got a call..BUT...my debit card number was used to charge stuff all over the world and the one that stands out is www.match.com     ,,  Hey I'm 76 do you think I need match.com?????    Need to catch these magots and sqush them.      Living off of other people is the lowest level I can think of.   I Googled the phone number and there were many entries about how it was tied in to people stealing from them....   Thanks.

I just had this happen to me. 2 credits and 4 charges... resulting in a net loss from my account of only about $1, but it's an illegal $1.

They put an amount of 43.99 on my credit card. Did'nt ask for services.

I just had an unauthorized charge on my Chase Debit Card for $149.66 listed as "WWW.MATCH.COM/BILL 214-576-9516" which the Chase Fraud dept was able to flag immediately. I will still see it billed and have to file a dispute but the inconvenience of it is annoying and disturbing.

All  I know is that my bank called me and told me that I might have a fraudulent account transaction which I saw that  214-576-9516  number charged $30.22 to my account. OMG!!!!!!!

So this scam has been going on since 2008 and nothings been done?  Here is is 9/2010 and I got a completely bogus charge on my Chase Card from the same crooks in Dallas. I'd never heard of or called them.

Same story as above, I have had several charges go thru my cc, for $40 per month with the same referenc www.match.com 214-576-9516 GB.  I have never ever made any contact with Match and do not even or want to know who they are, will dispute for sure.

This is an update to my previous posting. The original charge was $111.47, not $108.43 as originally posted. Today I had a credit in my account for $106.12, which is a $5.45 difference from what they originally took. WATCH your accounts - I caught this because my bank was FANTASTIC, and they have worked with me beautifully. I can only hope that these people are stopped eventually.

I got hit with a charge for $108.43 from this company. Calling the number listed on my billing statement for match.com/billing does no good, and I am very unwilling to give them any of my personal information. I'm glad I check my online activity daily as I caught it just hours after it happened thanks to a phone call from my bank's fraud department. My bank is working with me, but it is incredibly annoying as I have never been a member of match.com.

My sister just got hit with a transaction from match.com for $98! We call them and they told us that they didn't charge her and that they don't see her credit card information in their system....wow!

fraud dept from my cc company called us re: suspicious activity - match.com and the phone number, credit and debit (difference 25 cents) and a charge for RSVP in Australia - $36.82 - Chase caught it all and wiped out the charges for me

i got a phone call but did not wait to hear all of it, hung up and now
i found a credit to my CC account then a charge. They got me for $1.36 .
Same MO as many have had, boy , some one is working the system.

Love to know who it is that is ripping everyone off.

It would make sense if they were hacking into match.com to get our personal billing information but this just happened to me on black friday and I've never been a member of match.com.

This sort of crime seems to slip through every agency. The FBI has no interest, neither does local law enforcement and it seems too trivial for Interpol to even touch.  Everyone misses the point and thinks that I miss my $1 but it's that somebody is stealing credit card numbers.
