I had a similar problem with Sprint telemarketers - I sent Sprint an email via their website telling them to put me on their DO NOT CALL LIST  and explained that I do not trust their telemarketers - they have lied to me in the past and cost me a lot of money and I refuse to do any business with them anymore..

My email was forwarded to the manager of telemarketing and he stopped the calls.

A contractor and/or telemarketer hired by AT&T is calling businesses, sometimes more than once a day, attempting to sell a DSL upgrade. They call our office at least 2 times a day or more.

I have notiifed ATT to take us off all call list. They said it will take 60 - 90 days.

I also have a feeling that they are going to go ahead and try to do the upgrade anyway and see if we catch it on the bill. Beware of these call. The try to make you think it is FREE but it is only free for 3 months then it is a $10 upgrade.

They are very pushy and they will not quit you have to hang up on them. ATT has made a big mistake having these people call their business customers with this crap.

The phone calls constitute harrassment, the ordering of a service not asked for constitute fraud.

I received a call from 303-482-0920 this morning regarding our dsl - the caller identified his name as Dave - he called to let me know they were making changes in the area and would be upgrading our service.  I told him that this has happened several times a year without my authorization and I do not want the upgrade.  He went on to tell me that ATT is wanting to get all subscribers off of their slower speed dsl & that whatever ATT wants they usually get and there was nothing I could do about it.  I asked for his last name - and he said that it was not important - I asked again - and again he said it was not important and that he has given the information that he was to deliver to me.  (In other words, it was going to be done regardless of my authorization.)

These people from 1-303-482-0920 have called my business at least 50 times in the past six months wanting me to switch to and upgrades DSL. My employees and I keep telling them that we are not interested because everything is working just fine, but they are persistent and have also signed me up twice without authorization.
I have had to call AT&T twice to have this taken off of my bill. I have also told them to place me on their "do not call" list but it has not done any good. PLEASE check into this since I'm sure that I am not the only victim.

Thanks,

Steve Ray

Ken Young Called, said he was with AT&T. His reason for calling was, he could see from past calls that we were not properly informed. I explained that were were not interested in the DSL and have asked not to be called any times and have filed a complaint with the FCC, He kept talking over me, I finally hung-up on him.

This caller identified themself as AT&T - We have already filed a complaint with the FCC and have also filed a complaint with AT&T - Unless the FCC does something they will keep harassing everyone!
AT&T hired them but will not take responsibility.

We keep receiving phone calls from 3034820920 and *17209210369 for whole week of 08/18/08. Different people. They are tring to sign us up for At&T DSL upgrade - $10.00 a month. They are rude and their proposition sounds very fishy. They keep telling that AT&T replaced all the cables in the area and this is why there has been a price increase.

Caller said she was from AT&T and that I had to switch from my current DSL rate to the more expensive DSL rate.  That I had no choice.  She wanted my email address and she would send me the info. Even after stating that I did not believe this and knew it wasn't correct she continued to lie and tell me I had to switch to the faster and more expensive DSL rate. I refused and she finally disconnected.
