They call everyday and never leave a message

A man called my house from this number and left the following message "We'll find you. We will make it up to you".. They have been calling over and over; I have never answered because I do not recognize the number and they never left a message. They finally did. It was a threat. How dare they???? I have now been calling them day and night and their "operators" are always unable to answer because they are "busy" assisting other customers

Female calls every night for the past 4 nights, asking if this is the "Jones" residence.  Actually uses "Jones"....the names have not been changed.  :)  When I reply, "no", she is very polite & says she must have the wrong number.  Comes up as "unknown" on caller ID

I get calls from this number every day now for four days, They never leave message But I see their calls on Caller ID

I live in Nashville Tennessee. This is a telemarketer claiming to be with the Denver Post. No matter how many times I answer and tell them that I live 1200 miles away, they still call the next day. Sounds like a scam to me. Next time I am in Denver, I will kick their a***s

The national pandemic of telephone terrorism perpetrated by desperate criminal collection agencies is because they are trying to terrorize people who are naive enough to answer and submit to unsolicited telephone calls or written "collection" letters that have no legitimate legal debt associated with them or any of the companies, universities, or whomever else they claim to represent. Because most "little guys" were bankrupted by the criminal Wall St/Congress/Big Oil/Big Bankers/Big Business/Military/Robber Barons, so the desperate collection agencies are attempting to collect unpaid debts from innocent people by terrorizing them into submission.

Word of advice. NEVER answer any calls you don't recognize or are not expecting. Use selective call rejection service if available, or switch to an Internet-based telephone service which provides comprehensive call rejection options. If rogue calls become chronic, turn off all the ringers on all of your phones except one, and set its volume to the minimum setting. If you don't answer the call and the caller is legitimate, they will usually leave a voicemail after the first or second try. Rogue callers never leave voicemail messages because that could be used as evidence against them if it came to a lawsuit. If you receive a rogue letter in the mail warning you of some "collection" action against you, if you don't actually owe it, reply with a short letter stating that you don't owe it. Or if you do owe all or part of it, reply with something like "You claim I owe you a debt. Under §809 FDCPA, I request validation of this debt."

Only give them your name as THEY have written it to you (e.g. ?John Doe? not ?Jonathon Q. Doe? or however you normally sign your own name), address, and the account number they report. But if you do not owe the debt (zombie debt, aged debt, mistaken or stolen identity, forgery, etc.) state that you have never done any business with them or with the (alleged) original creditor of any kind and you expect the collection agency to close the matter, stop harassing you and take any bad credit marks they've caused off of your credit rating, and furthermore, that any further contact from them must be in writing on their official business correspondence letterhead. Send your letter to them a.s.a.p., always within thirty days, first class certified mail return receipt requested. If they refuse it and you get the letter back unopened, leave it unopened and save it in your files as evidence against them should they pursue legal action against you. If they did receive it and continue to pursue action against you, let them. The judge will throw it out of court. If the rogue collection agency sells your account to another rogue collection agency just tell them the claim has been proven invalid and offer to send them a copy of your letter to the previous rogue collection agency. Warn all your friends about this rash of desperate collection agency terrorism, and how to combat it. Knowledge is power. The more you learn how to combat rogue collection agencies, back-taxes scammers, phishing scammers, and other flimflammers, the more you will learn how easy it is to do.

Above all, keep a record of everything, of every rogue call w/ caller ID information displayed including time and day of each call. Maintain a complete file on any snail-mailed intimidation from rogue collection agencies, including copies of all correspondences and postal receipts. Reporting rogue calls on sites like
800notes.com, whocallsme.com, phoneowner.info is a great idea too, because many people find these sites by googling for the rogue number(s) after receiving calls from them.

Called and then hung up when I answered.  Then rang my phone again 1 minute later. Left no message.  I did a google search on the number and found this website.

Someone from this number keeps calling and I either hear nothing on the other end or girls laughing. I thought maybe it was my son's friends but they keep calling daily. My request is to have them stop calling my home phone.

Called 16 July 2010 at 7pm.  Did not leave message

Checked the Caller ID; didn't answer the phone as I didn't know the number (figured that, if it were important enough, they'd leave a message). Checking the other blurbs about this, I'm glad that I didn't bother answering!

I received a call from 303-482-1675.  Said they were calling to deliver Denver Post free of Charge.  I informed them I am on the Do Not Call registry and they hung up.

I have reported them to the Do Not Call registry so hopefully they will have to pay a fine.

Received call from 303-482-1675.  But no one spoke.  Maybe they get payed for the number of "calls" that are made.  Instead of the reason for which they are calling for.  Sell, sell, sell!

The number supposedly belongs to Landmark Teleservices, San Antonio, TX 78209. They said they were calling on behalf of the Denver Post. They called less than a week after I changed to Comcrash for my home service. My new number is unlisted and on the Do Not Call list.

Called our home at 7:15pm but hung up as soon as I answered.

Calls made to my cell. First 7 Jun at 8:31.  Secondly I received three calls on 12 Jun at 1:18pm, 1:48pm, 2:13pm.  Thirdly I received a call 20 Jun at 8:47pm.  Caller registered in Cell phone as: 3034821675; I did not answer any of these calls, no messages left either!

Same here Denver Post could not understand person? Why do they bother to call when you can't understand the person?

Three calls made to my cell. One 6/7 at 7pm and 2 on Saturday 6/12/10 at 11:33am and 12:03pm. No message left. Did not answer.

Answered since it was a local number, the male person on the other end was very hard to hear and told me he wasn't selling anything. He confirmed the family name and said our household had been chosen to receive the Denver Post free of charge and something about ad's in Fridays paper. I told him we were not interested and he politely said Thank-you and hung up.
