So I haven't received a call from these guys, or any letters, or communication of any kind. I happened to get on my Credit karma account, and saw that I had an account from December of 2013 in the amount of over 1400 dollars with these guys. How the hell can they put this on my credit report without even sending me a letter of some kind letting me know that a debt is owed? And I have never even been to Colorado. I am a stay at home mom....I have no loans, and I am on Medicaid, so all my medical care is covered....I have no idea where this debt is coming from, and the fact that it's on my credit report and I haven't been notified it even exists seems illegal to me....

I receive a call on a family members number, the agents name was Hunter. He was calling about outstanding medical bills. The thing is he was extremely rude, he was giving me his opinion about my situation which I did not appreciate, so I asked to speak to his supervisor. Coincidently, there wasn't a supervisor available so I asked to leave a voicemail and before I could he hung up the phone.

I received a call from this number.  No voicemail message left for me so I called back.  Guy just said hello.  If it is a business they should answer as a business.  I know from the above posts a collection agency but not answering as one when you called me first.  Bad business and I have reported it to my phone company as harassing phone calls from this number now.

I did not answer this call. It was to my cell phone: I never answer calls there that are unknown to me. Only select friends ave been given my cell number.

In the past week I have received two phone calls on my land line from P. Scott Lowery Law Group in Greenwood Village. They thought I was a principal in a company called Marketing Works. I explained that I am not and have never been affiliated with a company of this name. The phone number I have for them is a toll-free number 877-630-9650.

They have a reputation for harassing anyone they call; obviously they have gotten my cell number now. They don't seem to understand good English; or, they simply ignore the input and think harassment will achieve something for them.

The answer is not for anyone to "pay these idiots" but to put them on notice yourself. As a ''not me'' you may send a ''cease-communication'' notice via USPS Certified with return card. This is the method promoted by the FTC and many consumer watchdogs, and the only way to set a legal landmine, as such a notice is ignored at their risk of a lawsuit from you.

The FCC has very limited jurisdiction. It's actually the FTC with primary industry oversight, at least for now while the CFPB is still deciding where to put all the office furniture.

They probably have all your information and know exactly how much you owe, because your creditor is tired of chasing you around, so they hired some other person to do it for you.

I got a THIRD call from this company, and for the second time they hung up after one ring. Maybe they still have my number, but don't realize until after they dial the phone that I already told them the dope they are looking for wasn't ever here.

Kevin, whoever you are, pay these idiots so they will stop calling me!

Nick, if you have a smart phone you can download call blocker.  A one-up 10 buck charge and you can block all these telemarketing and scamming jerks from ever calling you again. I  got it a year ago and it's one of my better investments.

At 11 years old you shouldn't be bothered with crap like this.

Apparently my cell phone number used to belong to some guy named Kevin. I'm always getting calls and even texts for this Kevin guy. Now it seems that Kevin has decided to stop paying his bills and his debt collectors are calling me too. Great. Kevin, whoever you are, you need to go pay your bills!

Your days in your job are numbered.  The attitude you have toward people you know nothing about will come back in full swing very soon, and you will be the one on the other end of these calls.   The fact that you get paid to treat strangers like dirt is a disgrace to everyone who busts their butts for a living.  You are an arrogant waste of resources and should be ashamed of what you do for a living to pay your bills.  You are an embarrassment to everything good in the USA.

Art dude--
I stand corrected.  You didn't LIKE the dispensaries on FB-- you SUBSCRIBED to them which means you are probably looking for coupons or deals of the day..
But really, this could explain the calls you are making to people and it isn't even their number
The statements of I talked to this person and it isn't even like they remember they even talked to me
Your employers could receive legal actions against their place of business if you continue to do this
Clean up your OWN house before you pass judgements on other people

Art baby...
Saw your name (first and last and you replied to it which showed it was legit) on a rip off report complaint for this company.  Checked out your social network and enjoyed the pictures of the marijuana plants (are they yours-- you are taking nice care of them) and the LIKEs on Facebook for about 10 Medical marijuana dispensaries.  If I were your employer I probably wouldn't have you there because you posting these things on your social network and letting people know where you work really does damage the reputation of your company... unless of course you have a Bong hour there.. which might explain many of the not too ethical things you do down there..
Peace out and may the Bong be with you
By the way, glad you stopped burgling people and earn your money for your recreational hobbies in more "legit" ways

Are you really that much of an idiot?

A new hustle by the collection agencies is to purchase old/uncollectible accounts wholesale for pennies on the dollar then go after the alledged debtor for the full amount, plus tacked-on "fees" and interest. The clowns who work for these bottom-feeders usually get a commsion so they have an incentive to use unfair and often illegal tactics such as demanding post-dated payments, threatening legal action and discussing the debt with the debtors' friends, relatives, and co-workers.

And the big problem is that many of the alledged debts aren't even legitimate. Last year I was hounded with phone calls by a company for a debt that clearly wasn't mine. The person they were looking for had my phone number before the phone company gave it to me. Whenver they called - which was often - I would tell them they had the wrong number. They never believed me, asking me questions like "do you know him?") and "how long have you had that phone number?". They had the nerve to tell that "the calls will continue until we get a payment and if you make the payment for him
we'll leave you alone". I eventually got a lwayer to sue them under a FTC statute thaty allows for damages for illegal collection proactices

You should open your eyes and ears and learn something befopre you open your mouth and make yourself look like a fool.
