This is a robo-call from Ms. Morgan Carroll, who is currently an elected representative in the Colorado House of Representatives.  Having termed-out of the house of representatives, Ms. Carroll is now running for the office of Colorado State Senator in the Colorado State Senate.  Although the call claims to be an invitation to a "town hall" meeting in Aurora, it appears to be nothing more than a sleazy fund-raising effort by the dishonorable Ms. Carroll.

Sadly, these rude and intrusive phone calls from rude and morally bankrupt politicians, such as Ms. Carroll, are considered to be "information" and not covered by "do not call" lists.

It doesn't hurt to call the number back, though.  You might get an automated answering machine, but leave a message asking to be put on a "do not call" list.  It would also be helpful to let Ms. Carroll know that you do not support and do not intend to vote for people who use such rude intrusive robo-calls.

Hopefully, Ms. Carroll is one politician who will get voted out of office.

So sad to see this abuse of our tax dollars.  It isn't right for politicians to use their office phone numbers for fund raising and campaigning.  The legislature is over and this person won't be back in her office to do anything.  She's using her position and representative's phone number to campaign for senate.

It's not right.

People should really not post information on here that they don't know is true. First of all, that call was NOT a fundraising call. It was for a town hall meeting event with Sue Ryden and Morgan Carroll. They should be praised for spending their PERSONAL time out with people educating them about Colorado's budget and the stimulus package, answering questions, and learning about constituents' concerns. They don't get paid OT for giving up their evenings. These people work VERY hard to try to make Colorado a better place. You may not agree with every issue they support, but what are you doing to make the world a better place? You won't make a difference sitting around your TV every night. Find something constructive to do instead of criticizing people who are trying to help you.

It's still my phone, and if it's a cell they are using my minutes. I have a right to ignore the buggers. I can read, so post the info in the local paper/on line where I can get it for free.
