I just now got a call.  12/19/2011, 8 p.m.  Must be Fraternal Order of Police.  I gave money one time, and they've never let up calling since.

This is a scam. They do not represent any police charitable group at all. They called me persistantly on a daily basis at all times of the day and night. The still call eventhough I told them not to call again and to take me off their calling list. They do not give a tax I.D. or receipt with any donation which is a clear indication that they are not legitimate.

All of these calls are originating from the phone number starting with the digits: 303-974-18**
The last two digits vary sometimes, but are indeed from the same scammer.

I called Colorado State Police and they confirmed that it is indeed a scam and they said not to give any information to them and tell them to not call again and to take them off their thier call list.  Also warn them that if they call again that you will report them to your local police division.

If you receive these calls I suggest you call your local police division as this is clearly an illegal operation and also hurting a reputable group in the process. The police needs to know that this is a rampant problem and hopefully action will be taken to shut down these fraudulant activities.
Also file a complaint to the Colorado Do Not Call list as they are not a real charitable organization.

It's that Utah company that tries to get you to donate to the police so that they can take some of the money for themselves.  What a scam!

It's the Fraternal order of police fundraising. It's funny how the CO FOP does not show up on caller ID as it used to. Pretty tricky fellas, DNC lists are there for a reason stick to it or else. What a PITA!

Got a call.  No message.  Called it and it belongs to Fraternal Order of Police.
