Number said Control Point on my phone.  Fifth call, I never answer.

I have recieved about 50 calls in the last 2 days from various numbers. When I do answer, it is always a thick Indian accent and trying to give me something I have won. How do I get these calls to stop? I called my cell phone company and blocked 4 numbers, the most frquently used, but calls still come in...

Calls @ 10 times a day , to an elderly diabetic woman , who needs knee replacements , hip trouble , is not easily able to answer phone . Where did they get this # . ? Did Dr.'s office sell it to telemarketers . ATT says because of Clinton signing NAFTA , they cant block international calls . What ! ? They also call from a large list of different numbers , showing different names on ID . But always talk to the anwering machine the same - " Hello , Cathy ? Hello , Cathy , are you there ? " I have yelled , screamed , asked politely 2 be removed from list , told them that she has moved . NOTHING deters their terrosim .

i am on the National Do Not call list and Texas Donot call list and they still call. dont answer and dont have voicemail anymore. and so i will be cutting my land line off. so they will get this number is no longer in service.

Just got acall from this number. I have caller ID and let my ans. mch pck up.  They hung up.  Don't bother reporting these calls.  Blocking and do not call list is a joke.  I sometimes pick up  and answer with a loud whistle and that has stopped a few of these annoying calls.

If I could locate the people who own the call center where these calls originate, I would do everything within my power to have them deep-sixed in Lake Erie.

Here some of us have received calls from this number and figured out without even speaking to a rude and unprofessional caller that this is a scam.  I'm happy to see that there are sites like this where we can check the number without bothering to call it, because someone already did that for us.  But, when I see that some people have actually provided these people with their credit card numbers, we have the answer about WHY these scammers persist.  I feel very very sad for the people who gave up their numbers to scammers, but even  more sad that they weren't savvy enough to know never to do that!

They called before on different numbers and never leave a message. Card Services on Caller ID- Why would I do busineess with them anyway? Sometimes they even hang up. Worthless scum bags.

It's a borderhopper named Pablo Sanchez currently sitting at the Las Vegas City Jail. Called me 5 times. Four from the city jail on the free phone calls in the fish tank and one from this number in god damn wetback language.

Do not answer.  

Block the number if your phone has that capability.  

Add them to your phone's address book under SCAM (if you can).

Do not press any number to be removed from their list.  You are only confirming that yours is a real phone number.  

Do not press any number to speak to a representative because they will only hang up on you or, worse yet, they will curse at you.

Do not give them any of your personal information -- not your name, not your address, and especially not your credit cards.

These guys are all scammers.  They do not care about the do not call list because they are using a robo-dialer to harass as many people as they can.  Some desperate people are gullible enough to fall for their illegal scheme.

They cannot do anything to fix your credit that you can do yourself, and you can do it for free.

Last, but certainly not least, REPORT THEM to www.donotcall.gov.  Immediately.  'They' cannot do anything about it unless they know how pervasive and widespread these calls are.

4:15PM EST. Got the call let it ring. They did not leave a message. Caller ID was for "Credit Card Services".

I get two or three of these calls a week. NY Times had a piece on this last week. "The Haggler".

they claim to be a company working with VISA, MC, etc. to help you lower your credit card rates. They actually expected me to give them my credit card numbers so they could help me lower my interest. SCAM!!!!

Thanks to all for posting here.  The DNC registry is useless, it's only a data base of automated complaints, no action for your problem.  My phone co. doesn't even provide call blocker, so I hold them responsible for at least part of this problem.  Some calls I have received are from #'s that my phone co. calls "invalid"(!)  What people say here seems to be true.  DO NOT even pick up the phone.  It does seem they are searching for #'s that have some response, be it your picking up the phone, your answering device, etc.  The calls go on even longer if that happens.  Caller ID is essential. I turn off everything when we want to sleep, and rely on the Caller ID to tell me if someone important called.

I get calls from them at home and on my cell phone.  I never answer and every time they try from a different number I set it up to be blocked on the cell.  They are idiots.

I file an online complaint on the Do Not Call registery each time they call me.  makes me CRAZY!

Our "friend" Rachel must be at it again. At least with my new cell phone, it shows up as "Card Services" on the caller ID. I put the phone in front of the computer speaker and then pressed talk. I let the county dispatch service "answer" the phone. :)

Just got a call. I did not answer it. They left a message about final notice. Callier ID says CREDIT CARDS. Got the same message and caller ID from this number also. 616-613-2126

This scam uses many phone numbers so setting up a block or special ring tone is virtually impossible. The message about lower rates the robot leaves is truncated by not waiting for the outgoing message to finish and claims to be funded by stimulus monies. DO NOT PICK UP - DO NOT CALL BACK - DO NOT PRESS "1."

I did get a call from this number and they sounded professional enough but was still leary.  After I hung up upon telling them I'd get my CC info I called one of my cards and they said they are NOT affiliated with anyone trying to lower interest rates.
