Mom was resting on the couch so I took the call.  Claiming to be Medicare and confirming information on her account, he stated her address, phone, and other information that was correct.  He asked for last four digits of social and DOB, then the numbers on the check that was sent paying the most recent payment.  After asking for a return phone number twice, he hung up on me.  Not having caller ID, I used *69 and the number is 305-222-7707.  I also called the police, Medicare (they use MAIL only), Federal Trade Commission, and Equifax (who will contact the other two), and now I am posting this to anyone who reads it.  Just Hang Up is the best way to go before giving ANY information out.  These predators are scum and need to be stopped!!

My mother got a call from these people, asking for her bank number which she gave them. Lucky I only left her closed bank number with her. When I did a reverse lookup the name of the company was not listed. Some one needs to stop these people.

my mother keeps getting these calls, and she gives them the info.  I have had to close her checking account now for the 4th time.  Bank isn't going to do it anymore - what a hassle, changing social security and everything.  These people are predators to elderly people, trying to get their money, convincing them that they are real - and my mother is from the old school of believing that what people tell her is true - please somebody has to stop them.

Just got a call saying that there was a check payable to liberty financial for the amount $289.60 and they want it to verify that that was ok, so they even got an account number and check number, they said they were from fraud recovery. Fortunally account did not match my info.
This person identified her self as Lisa Adams. Also it gave me a toll free number to call but it was a dentist office.

My mother's home phone received a call from 3052227707, which I her daughter answered it because I had a suspicion it would be ANOTHER BOGUS SCAM artist call to a helpless SENIOR CITIZEN.  She said she was from Fraud Watch Services telling me, a senior citizen, that this service that I already have on my banking is about to expire and that she could renew the service for me with only one final payment since I am a senior citizen on a fixed income for $289. She would not leave me a number so I could call her back, instead she said she would call me back in one half hour. The caller ID on my phone stated Miami, Florida

this guy called stumbling all over himself asking if my deceased for 26 years grandfather approved a online order for a laptop wanted bank account info and when i said really and told him hes been gone for awhile and started to ask ?s he hung up

I just got a call from the same number. He said he worked for Bank of America. And I need to up date my frand account! I asked hem what was my account numbers, He said all my  accounts.
I said if you work for the bank you should have it all in front of you. He got mad a called me a loser.
