Got the same thing they are scammers

Call from Justin Murphy from Dale and Meyers Law Firm wanting the name and telephone number of my attorney.  Said lawsuit pending.  He was very hard to understand because of his accent.  Hung up on him.  He called back left message on answering machine.  I called him back telling him I was calling the police and he wanted to do a conference call with the police to see how brave I was.  Also threatened to call my employer and get me fired within 24 hours.  He had my SSN, address and employer but I did not confirm information was correct.  He hung up.  Police came to my house and we called the telephone number.  A male answered the call and was told two police officers were on the line as well.  We were told Justin works for the company but wasn't available.  Then placed on hold.  Another man then got on the call briefly and was placed on hold.  After waiting a few seconds we hung up.  The police stated it was a scam - a VOI (voice over internet) call and although the number was a Nebraska number they were not calling from Nebraska.  They recommended if another call was received, tell them to stop calling and that the police are involved.  

I just received a call from (308)536-4454 and spoke with a Sean Smith who stated he was calling from Dale & Myers office and said that I was being sued because I had applied for a Cash Advance called US Cash lending and that I would be arrested at my work.  Must admit they are very rude and scary.  I had previously looked into getting a cash advance but I guess that's what happens when you apply at these places anyone can get your information.

i to got this cal, it made me mad. so today i tracked the number down and called their police dept. and the officer said he is going to check in on it hopefully this gets salved.

Received call from 308-536-4454 - Darren Myers legal associates - states I will be served with a lawsuit and arrested.  When I asked for info on what it was for - they denied to give it to me.  When I stated I googled the number - and it was a scam - they stated good luck being "taken down town".  I stated that I cant legally be arrested for something I didnt do.  He had a very heavy indian accent.  Total Scam!

I got a call  on my cell & at work from Alex Brown who transferred me to John Marshall who claims to be a paralegal telling me that I have until Tues 6:30PM to get him a cancellation fee for a payday loan that I was approved for or I will be arrested at work on Weds!!! What the hell?!?!?!?

This is a collection agency that is based outside of the United States.  Their threats of arrest, police involvement, etc. are bogus and merely scare tactics in an attempt to force people to pay debts.  In most cases, this collection agency is probably attempting to collect a legitimate debt (it seems like most are for non-US-based payday loans or credit cards), but because the agency is based outside of the US, they are able to make threats and use tactics that are illegal for all other US-based debt collection efforts.  Keep in mind that debt collection is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.  You will never be arrested or threatened with police action for failure to pay a debt.  You may be subject to civil action, such as a small-claims court case, which might require a process-server or sheriff official to serve you with court documents, but this is not an "arrest" as this bogus agency may claim.  If they can nor or will not furnish you with complete details of the original creditor, just hang up.

Its all scam, get calls from numerous numbers with word for word exact message, scam at its finest, don't pay, call back and tell them you know its scam, they will leave you alone, won't waste time on people that aren't scared by them

I just got a call from these people as well. I have no clue how they get all this information. There is another person doing this as well.

i just got the same call.  i looked them up online and it's a scam.  dont give them any money.  if they can't give you the name of the creditor, the amount owed, their street address and hpone number, then its a scam.  i also googled dale and meyers law firm and there is no such thing.  they told me i wouldgo to jail and lose my job if i didn't pay by 4pm central time today.

This piece of human excrement called the wrong guy. He actually listened to me cuss him out and use racial slurs (I wouldn't normally engage in this behavior, but I've had it with these crooks) for a whole minute. He even let me explain to him what one of the slurs meant, after which I told him to go have sex with himself and hung up.

These idiots keep calling my cell phone and my work it is so annoying they are so unprofessional and claim to be an attorney office.  And say things like they will have some one here to arrest you at home or at your place of employment and claim that you can't run away from this but have no explanation what the case is about the only information they have is basic information so don't fall for this scam.

I have recieved a call from this number tell me to call or have my attorney call that I shouldn't disread this message. That this is a time sensitive matter. His name was calvin cooper. He sounded like a machine
He called 4 times saying the same thing. He said if I didnt resolve or call all he could do is wish me luck very rudely.  I called snd was laughed at then hung up on. The guy on the phone would not tell me who my collection was with. He doesn't tell you who he is with. Be  very careful.

i am getting threatening phone calls from this number someone named alex brown with a law firm i think he is saying darren meyers law firm.  i can't understand him very well. he has a very strong indian accent. something in connection with payday loans who i do not have any loan with. i think this is some kind of scam.  would like to report this to the authorities.  how do i stop these calls from this guy?

The person that called me said his name was Travis Hall. When I called him out on his scam, he laugh at me.  He also had my info too. This is BS!!

They have been calling me for days saying I will be arrested if I don't give them $8000.00 They will come to my work and arrest me.

A man, with a name that consists of too many vowels for me to pronounce, keeps calling my phone stating I need to pay a lump sum of a few thousand $ or I will be arrested. According to the local police and my attorney, they are scam artists using intimidation and harassment in attempt to retrieve funds unlawfully. Lesson learned, don't give out your personal information to anyone. Ever.

This person called leaving a message for me to call or my attorney. When I called back to ask what it was about and with what company they hung up on me. I called back and was yelled at by the person on the phone, which I then asked them to mail any complaint and he hung up again. I filed a complaint...

They called and said exactly what "Not That Stupid" said. Almost word for word. Dont let them scam you.....
They will try every scare tactic to get you to go to WalMart and get a specific card you need you put money on and send them the pin number to that card.

They called me and told me I have a lawsuit filed against me and that I wi be arrested at my place of work on Monday yet he couldn't tell me what the lawsuit was for. It's a scam.
Don't even waste your time with these people I've had similar conversations with other numbers. A lawsuit can not be files unless it is literally hand delivered to you by a sheriff or deputy.
