800 234 8880 -computer message for debit collection/call back. I'm pissed off!
I was given a new land line phone number 4 years ago. I have been harassed on and off the entire 4 years. Note -I think Sears is the original collector (keep that in mind).
Yes debit collectors dump the dirty task down the nasty hill to the lowest bidder.
And your all Fd because no one will help you. Not the FTC FCC BBB because the creeps do not leave enough info to find them. The 800 numbers can be changed daily. I have called and actually talked to a debit scum bag- explained I'm not the F people there after and I still get harassed -
it apparently never ends as long as some hungry idiot is willing to call and harass you.
Of course the phone company can't do a dam thing after 6 robotic J O computer prompts and a robot to make sure you paid your bill on time. I just changed my number out of the realization that nothing will be dune. NOTHING -we are the lowly Americans of the world. I bet Europe doesn't allow this crap.
That's why ATT is hated so much. We are all F -so get over it and turn around slowly so you can see the government screw you.

Well to the collectors... The people you are calling do NOT owe YOU money.. They may, however, owe someone else money.. That company sold you the "lead". I do not see how it can be legal to harass the hell out of someone to get money that is not owed to you to begin with.. In my case If I owe someone I will continue to call and try to work with them.. If they Sell me Out then Oh well they will not be getting anything further from me.. I will try to pay the original debtor and if they tell me I no longer have an account with them then I consider that Their bad. If someone had money they would pay it.. since thousands and thousands of people have no jobs and/or money leave people ALONE.. yes they are SCUM BAGS! If you think you will bully me into crapping out money then you got some powers I wish I had.... TO the REPUBLICANS lets keep the Rich RIch and the poor poor... I mean why not Bail out the Citizens whom have worked their whole lives to knock down and rebuild other countries... really people WTF is going ON?????

Don't know why they would be calling my number.  It is a collection agency in Illinois.

I agree with Reality Guy......if you owe them money they are DOING their job?? How does that make them the bad guy???

If they are calling by mistake call them and tell them.

Really guy?  Lowest of the bottom feeders?  We owe money, someone has to feed their kids and maybe that's the only job they can get...  Yes it sucks to be on the receiving end, I am, that's why I'm here.  Unfortunately, I can't pay them, so they can keep calling.

I've gotten numerous calls from this number. They always leave voicemails. Says "If  we  have  reached  the  wrong  number, please  call  us  back  at  1 (800) 234-8880  to  remove  your  phone  number  from  our  records." Hope this helps anyone out!

When I did a reverse call in Google, it says its BitWise ... nothing about a recovery center and when I called the number back just rings and rings and rings

This number does the same thing to me, it calls me maybe half a ring and then hangs up before I get a chance to answer. They never leave a message and when I call the number back there is never an answer.

Got a call at 10:34 pm from this number. When I answered, no one said anything, just hung up. This goes outside the boundaries of appropriateness by calling me well after business (and social) hours. What should I do?

yes just jot down how many times they call and the times and they will owe you money for harrassment they are in violation of the collection act.

I guess I got a previous number of someone they're looking for but don't believe me as I've often told them the person they asked for hasn't had this number for over 2 years. Yes, I've been telling them this for 2 years & asked them to not call again, always taking notes as they can be sued. They rudely hang up like I'm a liar, Shows up on my caller ID as Eagle Recovery, Now today they just called up & hung up on me after me saying hello 4 times, without a word. Perhaps that's progress with that company, todays hang up on the person called may be the dwindling down of all the calls until they finally stop. As I told them I was taking action against them.

Got a cell phone call from this number at about 3:45PM March 22, 2008.
Do not know any call details. Phone number was only part of message left in voicemail message. Called at wrong time as well. I sleep all day, so they called me in the middle of the night!
