have recieved more than one call....once answered...there is a weird tone and nothing. i would tell them to.watch how there fingers dial......yet they do not give me a friggen chance.  now there lies a tacky person.

Remote detecting of number of tvs, similar devices, and even the channel settings whether they are on or off, is said to be very easily done. Whether over the phone or not I don't know.

I do know the telemarketers sponsor methodical studies of phone answering during various times household by household. Large #'s of calls are done via computers.

However massive such intrusions may be, one can guess Congress has left a loophole in that they don't qualify as SPAM if a connection with a human was not established.

That is just a guess.

No intent to suggest that Congress might have ever had a genuine or sincere interest in legislation that effectively restrains telephone marketers in any real way should be inferred by the above theoretical consideration.

I have a number to call Verizon to add a restriction to your home number to keep them from calling and offering you anything in different services or anything they offer. The # is 1-866-483-9500. It is an automated system, and you can remove your restrictions at any time.

1-309-831-1109 on called id box.  Computer call.  No response when I picked up, just clicking noise.

Called to let me know about voice mailbox was out of service for a few days and I will get a 5.00 dollar credit on my verizon phone bill just a computer message .. First time they called it was just a busy signal no info offered .... Verizon computer at work

Verizon called to explain problems they were having with their Voice Mail system and to offer a one month refund.

Number showed up on caller ID while I was at work

it's not the first time that I received a call from this number

what number to call to get off of list?  I wrote Verizon last year to remove me, two or three months later, they told me to call another number to be removed, when I tried that number, I never even got a line.  So, If you have the number to call for the "do not call list", I would appreciate it.

This was a automated call shilling their DSL service. I've told live operators several times in the past that I did not want their service as I've got a business quality DSL line in my home and had asked them to put me on Verizon's "do not call" list.

I find it extra annoying that I've got to call a long distance number and essentially *pay* to have our number on their do not call list. Nice scam, Verizon.

Verizon will accidentally add your home number back onto their telemarketing lists.  When they telemarket you, they suggest that you call this number in order to get off (again) their telemarketing lists.

Answered phone no on there. Do not bother to answer this caller.
