I get a call about once a month from this guy from "The Prize Claim Center", stating I may have won a Lincoln Navigator or a trip for 4 or some such crap. I don't recall entering any contests of any sort to win anything, I make it a habit not to enter that kind of thing for a reason, so this seems fishy to me. Haven't called the number he left seeing as it's long distance, but more importantly, I want to have the biggest laugh and middle finger extended and ready when good ol' Brian asks me for a credit card number and expiration date "to verify my age" - YEAH RIGHT. I'm on the Do Not Call List, think I'll report this little shady phone call to the FCC.

Brian called just the other day claiming the same.  That someone entered a contest and he has an email that he can resend to me stating something about the entry that he's "supposedly" got. He sounded pretty real. As in not sounding like most telemarketers.  But, I listened to the voice mail a few times. He never mentions the name of the person on the entry form.
Odd.
Wants a callback to a residential phone number in IL at 309-928-2682. A real contest winning entry would have a 800# as a callback.
This person has a few numbers in the 309 area code, so watch out! I did a little internet research.

Bryan is full of s***. he told me he was with expedia, then he told me he was with a marketing company, then he told me expedia did not do business with his marketing company. I never once went to expedia, nor did my family.

I got a call from Brian at a new number...217 784 4723 is the new contacts point and Brian's name did register on it. any prize entry winning notification would be done via mail with some form of pertinent company information as I'm sure is required by law.  Do what I do and visit the BBB and report the number and practices as misrepresentative.

Somebody has won the Navigator at the San Jose office.  Very exciting, but it was not one of our customers.  there are new prizes at the Broomfield, CO. office, the grand prize being a $20,000 cash award.

I received a vmail from my work number from this Brian Carlson. I returned the call to inquire about his message. It seemed a little fishy, and so I went onto the net to browse the number and here we are.......

I completely understand if this is his way of conducting marketing to do business. But I'm sure many people are annoyed, because technically it's simply a way of getting people on the phone, by luring them with prizes.. of which they aren't COMPLETELY ENTITLED to...

Will be glad to remove the contact # from the call list.  Don't need any of your info personal or otherwise to pick up your gift.  But if you win the navigator there are some documents to sign

Sorry to anybody who is upset by the voice mail.....we go off a list of "double opted-in" leads.  Meaning that whom ever used the contact number on the entry form requested info and gave permission to be contacted.  Sometimes #'s are bad, sometimes a family member uses the # with out your knowledge.  If people request not to be contacted again, the number is added to the lead broker's DO NOT CALL list.

Telemarketer
Brian called today left a message on my vox mail, said I'd won same as MO above.  I called the number back, spoke w/Brian, he says he is with Star Vacations.  To win you have to listen to their 90 minute seminar, in Broomfield.  After the seminar, they give you a scratch off ticket that says what you have won one of the following.  1st-Navigator, 2nd-$2500 cash, 3rd-$1300 vacation package, 4th-32" toshiba Flat Screen TV(gift certificate to be used at Best Buy).

Got a call from Brian.  Same MO as everyone else.  I called the number back and the recording says "You've reached 309-928-2682.  If you are calling for Brian press one or press 2 for Michelle."  I pressed one and then was transferred to a voicemail.  I hung up before the beep.

I just got the same yesterday and I got an email from Crown imports International NY. same phone number and offer from brian.  Think this is a scam.  A winning of a real prize you don't have to release money ahead of time. http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/215/ripoff0215909.htm
found this also?

Got the same offer a year ago, only then it was from a toll free number.
I called from a pay phone and the person who answered got nasty.
Caller ID Block does not work on a Toll Free call because the recipient is entitled to the billing info.
Are they fishing for home numbers?

What a pain-

I found it fishy that "Brian" didnt seem leave any info in his message, such as my name or what 'contest' I apparently entered. I might give him a call and see what he has to say. I'm betting he'll tell me he needs my bank info for tax purposes in order to have access to funds.  Perhaps we should all take a trip to visit Brian, take his TV, his car and money so we can pay for us and 4 of our frieds to go see him.
