Same info as prior posted. Call definitely from Peoria, IL . Did not answer in time, left no message.
If called it tells YOU to leave a message, but then says "mail box is full'. Sounds truly bogus.
If you get them to tell you they are collecting for the State Police, ask if they are affiliated with Trooper Post 41, this is only known actual contact.

Called ID indicated "Illinois Call". Caller said they were collecting for some police organization. He did not have a noise cancelling microphone so I could hear dozens of other sleaze balls in the background making calls/giving their pitch. I hung up on him.

Just called me today. guy spoke real fast and slurred words. Said State Police Benevolent Society. I called the State Police and she said they do not solicit over the phone!!!!!

I got a call from this number yesterday. I answered it and a woman said something that I did not hear fully. I said "I'm sorry, I can't understand you. What did you say?" They hung up on me. I AM on the do not contact list, but these scammers have machines that get around the list, I guess.

Calling to offer credit card "deals" or extended card warranties you don't need. Don't give them any personal information, and don't bother asking them to put you on their do not call list. They're not a legitimate firm, so they're not going to play fair. The best thing you can do is stop answering the calls, and wait for them to move on to other people's phone numbers for a while.

Got a call on the 21st of August. AT&T reports call only as "Peoria." They left no message.
My answering machine says: "If you're calling to ask for money for any reason, the answer is no. Please hang up and take me off your list." So I assumed it was some sort of telemarketing or political call.

Caller id came up as a cell in Silvis. Said "please hold while we connect you". About 20 seconds passed. Then was disconnected.

yes. i received a call from that number yesterday and "peoria" was on the caller i.d. i didn't answer, and they did not leave a message. i assume it is a telemarketer.
