So weird...I have been researching a man with the same name who used to rent a property from our property managment company.  He was always odd..very overly dramatic, none of his stories matched up, he was secretive, and I always felt he was a pathological liar or a scammer.  I have no idea if this is the same guy everyone on this site is talking about.  But guess what his wife's name is....SHARON!  I wonder if it slipped out by accident in the message he sent you? Thie man I know was  in his late 60's maybe in his 70's.  He is very tall and heavy.  Not in good shape.

This guy is a total phony...Everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie.  I hired a private investigator to check him out......he is 68, never been to college, is a high school drop out from Toronto, Canada.  He is a scam artist/con man....does not own any business....never has.  He says a lot of things about his past, all of which are lies.

This man sounds like the same Donald Baker who I met in 1998 - an absolute maniac.  He said that he was partners with DeLorean, of car fame and that he was arrested with him at the airport that time, with all the cocaine. He used to have a house on the canals here in Venice and said he also had a house in Malibu.  

This guy is dangerous and absolutely delusional. Do not spent time alone with him.  He also said he had an ex-wife and twins who lived in Malibu.

He talked big, drove a lot of miscellaneous cars, including at one time a RR silver Shadow that allegedly belonged to Grace Kelly (or something like that), a canary yellow Corvette - but mind you this was in 1999 - 2000.  He had a harley and we went riding with him one time and it was a big mistake.  He also threatened an ex-boyfriend of mine. He had all these grandiose stories.I told him to stay away from me.  

He showed up at my office a couple of years later, out of the clear blue and said he wanted to apologize for being such a freak and could he take me to lunch a the restaurant on the corner of my office.  I told my staff where I as going as I always believe to give someone a chance and besides, we would be in public. At the restaurant he excused himself to talk to the maitre di, who I observed giving him a peculiar look when he was talking to him and he came back to the table. I asked him what that was all about and he said he "knew him" (?) We ended up having lunch and he was still crazy!!!  We left and we did not have to pay for lunch. I told him I accepted his apology, but I was getting married and would appreciate him staying out of life as I had already told the man I was marrying, at previous time, about him.

When I saw the maitre di, a few days later, I asked him how he knew Donald and he said and he wouldn't tell me because he had reported him to the authorities and did not want to involve me because I was a good customer and "friend".  He just said to do him a favor and stay away from him.  I NEVER saw this guy again. This was the Donald Baker who I had a great displeasure to meet.

He ways he spends weekends at his ranch in Arizona and summer in Porto Fino. His match.com screen name is  travelwithu77.  Some nice excerpts from his letter:
