The lady who called asked for me by name and proceeded to say I had been entered into a drawing that would be held in Florida on 5/31/08 by the credit card companies who gave them a list of their 'preferred' customers. I knew then it was a lie...my credit SUCKS! She told me in the sweetest voice that all she needed was to verify my address. I then said to her that the call sounded 'fishy' to me. She immediately changed her tone to a very cruel one and as she was hanging up on me said "whatever"!

Caller said my name was selected from a drawing that would be held on December 31. She then said I would get 3 magazines for 48 months.  She told me my address and then said she needed some personal information.  She went on to say what is your age.....etc.  I wouldn't answer and said why do you need that and she hung up on me.

I received a call from a lady calling from 310-370-9562 who said that she was from MS Inc and that I had been entered into a sweepstakes with a drawing on Dec. 31, 2009. It appeares to be another scam.

This makes the third call from someone like this in a week.  Everytime it has been a different number.  I never got these calls till I opened a Facebook page.  Is Facebook selling my phone number ?????

Got a call from this number and was given the credit card drawing baloney.  She wanted to verify my address and when I asked her how was I to know that she was who she said she was the caller hung up.  I too tried to call back but the line was forever busy.

Just rec'd this call for the second time this week. After the so-called drawing song and dance, they want to give you "free" magazines at the cost of $3.95 shipping and handling - PER WEEK! This time before she finished her magazine speech, I said "this is where you want me to pay $3.95..." and she hung up on me before I finished my sentence! If you don't have to, don't answer. If you do, don't feel bad about hanging up on them. There are better jobs out there than working for a company that scams the innocent. I am job hunting right now and I would beg before I would work for that type of company as I do prefer to sleep at night!

Just got the same exact phone call but unfortunately was distracted at the time (screaming baby too) and answered before I thought about when i started asking questions she said all the same things as above. She also wanted to know my age or if I was married.
Has anyone answered these questions and something come of it good or bad?

Yup, just got the call too. She asked how I was doing and I told her I had a sick baby screaming at me. She hung up.

i keep getting this call from this number as well, and i never pick it up, but i tried to call back. and to my finding i got a busy signal and if they call again i will not pick my phone up for them. thank you all for stating they are just calling about some magazines, or what have you. it's however, i live across the other side of the united states, as far as you can get from the los angeles and santa monica and venice beach area of california. which i once visited 6 years ago, so i was familiar with seeing the area code, but wondered who keeps calling. i figure as much if they are all that important they can leave a message.

I missed the call and did a search and found out from all of you that it is just another scam to get info.  I called the number back and got not answer.
The name that showed up on my phone was Andrew Laing.

i just told her that the person she was looking for was not at my number and she   said she was taking the number off the list

I received a call from a young lady that said I was entered in a sweepstakes by my credit card company because I was a prefered customer.  I asked her which credit card company and she said she didn't have that information.  I told her I did not enter any sweepstakes nor do I want to be entered into any sweepstakes.  She said she can't do anything about my being entered into the sweepstakes, but she would remove me from her calling list.  This just has scam written all over it.

I received the exact same phone call - a woman saying I was entered in a sweepstakes by my credit card company or bank. Also told me she didn't know from which credit card company or bank my information came from. She wanted to confirm my address. It was correct but I did not confirm so she proceeded to make up a story about visiting Chicago - it was so clearly scripted/fictional - very strange.

Just rec'd a call from this number, but I didn't recognize number therefore, I did not answer my cell phone.  However, I googled the number and came up w/all the comments above.  THANK YOU!

same thing happened to me, credit card companine, drawing, magazines, ect.
why in the world would people be calling and tormenting us? what are they getting out of it? are they getting paid to do this? where is the profit coming from? there are a million of these 310 numbers that they use. once they get your number they never stop calling.

This is too funny...except if anyone got caught up in this.  I've missed this call a couple of times, but there was no message and I never called back because I always figure that if someone wants me to call them back, they should leave a message.  Anyway, seeing that it was a 310 number, I thought it might have been one of my friends in California, so I googled it and found this page.

got the same sweet girl wanting to verify my address because i was entered in a contest and I asked if I was already entered wouldn't she have all my information already? I said it sounded like BS and she hung up on me.

Apparently they aren't giving up because I got this call today and I very nicely told her I was not interested in being entered into the sweepstakes and she hung up.  I tried to call back but it was busy.

Telemarketer...verified my home address,  BEWARE!

I received a call from this number as well on my cell phone, I did not answer it and just Googled the number with this site coming up in Google search results. I have Life-lock so I dare them to mess with my information, they will get caught and we can find out who these perpetrators are.

I just recieved a phone call from 310-370-9562. It was a woman asking for my husband. When i told her he was not here and that I would take a message, she asked if i was his wife. I replied "Yes, I am" She then said "O....no. Have a good day." I called back 2 times and she refused to tell me her name or why she was calling MY phone for my husband. Some people.......

I received a call from this number also. I have reported it to the phone company and to the police as Nuisance caller.

The twitch called me a few minutes ago. I played along with them and after the calll I told them that she was recorded and the tape is on its way to the FBI crime lab.

She gasped when I read baack the address that anothed poster provided.

I have had numerous calls from this number, but no one answers when I do pick up the phone. This intrusion angers me to no end as I do have trouble walking and have almost fallen over several times on my way to answer these inane interruptions in my life.
