Recvd call after attending a Massachusetts Bridal Expo-- Jan 26th, Recvd a total of 8 calls from various 310-482-xxxx numbers.  When I finally answered it the caller said I won a cruise from "american vacation homes"

A-ha. Apparently my spouse filled out a ballot for a chance to win a trip to the Bahamas at a trade show. How does entering our name into a draw in red neck Alberta end up with phone calls originating from California? We willingly gave our contact info away on the prize ballot. A little piece of wisdom gleaned from this situation - prize draws may be nothing more than a marketing ploy to get customers names/numbers.

caller registered to Pacific Bell in Santa Monica. Has called a few times but we keep missing it. Talked tonight, asked for my spouse who was at work. He was in a hurry to state "I'll call back later." rather than give me time to inquire as to the purpose of the call.

We just got back from a Florida Holiday with Ramada Plaza Resorts. We bought a time share. Anyone else have a similar story?

I "won" a trip to Flordia from a trade that was going to cost me $600 and they needed credit card right way to mail out the tickets.

I got a call today, three times. I actually talked to someone and they said I won a trip to Bahamas. I did enter a drawing the other night to Bahamas. He said he wanted me to write some information down, but I was on the rode. I asked if he could send me info via e-mail, he said no. I asked if I could call back and he hesistated and said, I'll call you back.

I think it's a scam!

Just received the second call from this number in two days. Who is it and why don't they leave a message? I am listed on the do not call registry yet I'm still getting strange calls like this. They seem to call at the same time each night.


Has anyone had a call from the 809 area code? I understand that returning this call could cost $2400.00 a minute.

This person has been calling about every day for 2 wks..they attempted to leave a message last night but didn't say anything.
