No one says anything then hangs up

310-599-5733 Caller ID says "Recycle Now".  They have been calling for weeks.  Only rings twice, if don't answer by then, no one there.  Called the # back & get auto. recording that says 'To remove your # from our list,  leave your info.' I simply said 'No way! What you're doing is Illegal and we will Report you!' and hung up.

Got a call from them. Caller ID displayed "2008 ELECTION"

this  has  been occuring  for  about  last month- calls  come in around  11 am - noon - 1-3 rings- no message--todayattempted  return to get my  number  removed from their  list  but  got a response  the  phone was  busy? this is beyond  annoying - near  erie  now since i see  all these  other   issues  with same  phone number. i am on all the no call lists i can find and have  an unlisted  number (for which i pay extra to stop this kind of idiotic behavior)

Very annoying!

With VOIP and IP address spoofing, the caller ID can be meaningless.  This is not related to any election fund but rather a sleazy company trying to sell bogus extended auto warranties.  Buyer beware!

On my caller ID it says "Register - Vote". Something fishy is going on, so I registered it with the complaint page at the Do Not Call Registry. They might be able to track it down eventually.

so i called back this morning and there was a answering machine that
belongs to a man named frank who said that the car warranty people are using his cell number as a return number and he doesnt know who to call to make it stop...

received call at 3;#0 PM on Nov. 26.  Rang 3 times, hung up as i answered.  Displayed "Vote Registration" in caller ID.

Received several calls over the past week when I wasn't home. I answered it this morning on the first ring and they hung up.

I received a call at midnight 10/31 from 310-599-5733, the caller ID displayed the name "2008 Election."  I answered on 2nd ring and they hung up.  I'd like to know what candidate's office is calling at that time of night.

If it said 2008 election then it is a political call trying to get you to vote for someone or some issue...
