Phone Number Report: We just got this call today and I guess there is a first time for everything, but this takes the cake. At first it is a taped message to update tv warrenty press 9, then a female caller saying they are updating the warrenty on our tv. We asked which one and they said the one in our living room. We said which one is that? It is the one that needs updated for 2009 warrenty. We said how do you know we have a tv in living room? We said can you see it? When asked where they were calling from they said the rent-a-center. we said we own our tv not rent. They argue with you and tell you do not own it you rent it and you need to update your warrenty. We asked who they were calling, no answer was given by name. Told them they had the wrong number and the the female puts a man on and they he insists on a credit card. I said are you trying to scam us. They still insist on a credit card; so I told them where to go in a few choice words and they hung up. Well, we reported this to the local police, who will investigate it. But beware all and have fun playing with there heads. Come up with a really good comback of information to lead them on and have a Merry Christmas! HO HO HO

Home Foreclosure telemarketer called my cellphone.  I don't own a home.  I talked to "Dillon" and asked him to take me off the phone list.  His response was hanging up on me.  

I pray that all telemarketers will burn in hell.

I received a call from 310-599-9138 during supper tonight.  I did not answer the phone.  I'm on the state and national no call list and I am reporting this to the Pennsylvania State Attorney General's office.

I got this call a few minutes ago.  Same routine as Not A Fool except it was for a car warranty.  The rep asked what car I was calling about and I told him I wasn't sure.  He asked me what I drove and I said mini van.  I then started to ask him questions like what company's warranties he was calling for (he mentioned GM cars) and then I asked him if I received written info prior to the call.  All of the sudden he was very distracted and I was hung up on!  Anyone who calls to sell you an extended warranty shouldn't have to ask you about the product!

I also tried to remove my number, we'll see how well that works.

I was told that my car warranty was running out.  I asked for which car and was told it was the newer model that I own.  I said that I have two that are the same model year and they hung up on me.  Does anyone know what company this is?  They keep calling and I'm getting really frustrated.

These jerks("Customer Service") called midday and woke me up from a highly deserved nap. Left no message... I tried calling back and got a recording that stated, "We are sorry if we reached your number in error. We only call business numbers (I'm paraphrasing). If you would like your number removed, please press 1."  So, I did.  Now I'm waiting to see if they call back. Pressing 1 probably just confirmed that they have a working number to harass, now that I think of it.  But pressing 0 did no good and I was determined to make my opinion known somehow!  Effers...  Time to re-register with the Do Not Call list, I guess...

Just received a call from this number and like many others here, a recorded message indicated that this was my last chance to renew my warranty, then to speak with someone press #9.  When I did, a woman answered and I asked her to give me some more info, as the automated message did not provide enough details as to what items' warranty was expiring.  I then heard a click as the pig hung up on me.  When I called back I received an automated message apologizing for the call and that they only purchase and call business phone numbers. Then if I wanted to be removed to press 1, I did and now will wait to see if it worked.  If they only call businesses, why would I have to be removed, this is a residential number?  This has scam written all over it......

THEY CALLED MESSAGE SAID PRESS 3 FOR UPDATE ON YOUR CAR WARRANTY. I PRESSED 3 THEY TOLD ME MY WARRANTY WAS RUNNING OUT ON MY CAR SINCE I KNEW I HAD NONE I ASKED THEM FOR WHAT CAR. THEY ASKED ME FOR THE YEAR AND MAKE . I TOLD THEM IF IT WAS RUNNING OUT THEY SHOULD HAVE THAT INFORMATION. THEY HUNG UP..

Got call from this number, not once, but twice on 11/22/09 selling Extended Warrenty on a car we recently purchase.
How did the get my number.  This is appears to be a violation of both Federal and State do not call lists.

Tried to call this number back 11/23/08 and message was we don't accept call from private parties, only business.

got a call from this number but I wasn't home and no response left on my 'Caller I D' ...   I'm glad I looked here before returning the call to obviously a long distance phone number...  Scams are everywhere and since my husband fell for one recently... I check everything

This number has been calling me and calling for the past three months.  I've called the number back and requested to be taken off their calling list, and they have not done it.

Pre-recorded message called claiming my auto warranty was about to expire (which is nonsense) and I could press #9 to talk to one of their warranty experts.  I thought I'd wait and cost them as much as possible and eventually talk to a human being and give them an ear-full.  As I was waiting, the recording told me I could press #1 to be removed from their calling list.  Given the name the caller ID displayed "TN Removal List" I thought I'd take a chance.  I pressed #1 and the recording indicated that I would be removed immediately.  We'll see if it eliminates future calls from them or accelerates them.

Despite previous post 310 is a California area code.  (not that the Caller ID might not be faked)

And while I join Florida Guy in his hope that telemarketers rot, don't forget to blame the idiots who give these callers what they want.  Telemarketers would stop calling and spammers would stop spamming if there weren't money to be made.  Apparently the world is full of people foolish enough to give them money.

I don;t answer unidentifiable calls. My answer machine kicks on, but they NEVER leave a message. Apparently the phone company makes money from these shacy characters.

310-599-9138 called around 6pm caller ID only said 'customer support'.
Since we own nothing that requires such - I did not answer, they left no message.

Be wary of any caller who will not leave a message. And even those who do. Some Credit Collection agencies pose as Law Offices - don't answer or return these calls. Look them up first. I was able to Fax one of these 'companies' to tell them they were 'duly informed they were calling the wrong number' and not to call again or legal action would be taken for their harrasment.

I always screen any call I can't ID. Even my friends who come up as 'private caller'! If they want me they can leave a message - once I know who is calling then I pick up - if I want.

Anyone have an easy way to directly report these quacksto the FCC?

Work 3rd shift and these guys continue to call my number and will not leave a message... And calls back later

Got this call at 3:50 this afternoon.  I was at work but from what I've just been reading here I know not to answer this call!

Called my office phone on 10/30/08 at 5:32 PM. Did not leave a message.

Just got rung up by these jerks.  I didn't pick up since I don't answer calls from unknown numbers.

I wish my biggest problem in life was someone calling me to see if I need help with my car warranty or my mortgage. I get tons of these calls, but I don't sit around whining and b****ing about it!!!! Get a life.

I just received a phone call and asked what car.  It was the correct car that we own, but I know my vehicle warranty has not run out.  When I asked what company was calling she said "Warranty Division."  I asked again for the name of the company and she told "I just told you lady - what are you stupid or something."  Then she told me to go f*** myself - 2x's.  I have my number on the do not call list.  I am going to contact the www.donotcall.gov site and make a complaint.
I called back the number on my ID and it said to press one to take my name off the list.

I guess they haven't been stopped yet.  They called here yesterday, our answering machine picked up but I could understand the message.  I'm glad I didn't bother to answer the call!!!!!

Received phone call did not pickup.  No message is left. Have had this number on my cell phone several times. I do not return calls to unknown ID s or numbers unless a voicemail is left. it is that simple.

I keep getting calls, even though I'm on the Do Not Call list, from these people about a vehicle warranty expiring, which is impossible being that my car still has like 9 years left on the warranty. When I press 9 and ask the person which car they're talking about, they hang up on me. I've filed a complaint with the FCC, and I think we all should so these calls will stop.

Go there and file online. It's really easy, and hopefully the FCC can stop this.
