We received call from same number from a casey who hung up after we returned phone call with our number blocked. Then spoke with a guy who refused to identify himself about a debt my husband was supposed to have incurred when he wasn't even in the country, the man responded that was my husband's fault, the when i cited statutes of limitations, he stammered, and nearly refused to give me dates, i laughed, he then took a very abrasive tone and told me that he'd report my husband's name, which i laughed again. I called back with the florida statute laws of both florida and alaska and if they continued to harass and call, we'd file countersuit with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, so whatever your state is, i'd suggest doing the same and assume NO responsibilty and demanded they stop harassing you.

My husband and i received a phone call from a "casey", from aga, gave the return phone number of 3054000471, then refused to speak because we had our phone number "blocked", so we were given a number of 8772226640, which a man, who didn't identify himself said my husband owed a debt from over 15years ago. I demanded to know the dates, he was hesitant about the charge off date, being in '07, according to this man. I informed him my husband was out of the country when this debt was incurred by his exwife, and according to the statutes of limitations, we or my husband were not responsible for the debt, wouldn't pay the debt, etc...this unidentitfied man said, "fine, i'll turn him back in to the credit reporting agancies", i told the unidentitfied man, try it and we'll sue you, this debt was not made by my husband and he will not pay it. The unidentified man said, that's his problem...then he hung up on me. So i called back with the florida statutes of Fair Debt Collection Practices, Fl.Stat.Ann95.011 et seq and Alaska.Stat. 09.10.010, and if we continued to receive harassing, bullying, or abusive tatics, they, whoever "they" are, will be turned over to the proper agencies for countermeasures. I again stated that the debt was not my husband's, he would not assume responsibility, and "their" tactics of extendinglong run out statutes of limitations would not be tolerated or acknowledged.

Their website has one huge grammar error.  I would love to send them an email telling them they should get their money back

And the calling company can be sued and end up owing the debtor more then the debt is worth.. Have a nice day tripping over your broom!

I had a similar call last week from AGA.  I called the original bank to check and see if the original bank had sold my debt from 1998 or was using AGA as an agent to collect the debt.  They said no. It was not a legitimate bank they dealt with.  I have asked for the department of insurance number from AGA in order to verify they are legitimately operating (in my case South Carolina) There has been no response since I inquired about their department of insurance registration number.  

I got a call from Katie (904) 352-1888 said that she was calling from AGA & Associates.  Very Important.  this is a legal matter.  Please call her directly on her direct line (305) 400-0471.  Does any one know who these people are?

Hi I too received a call today from 704 area code she did not give me her name but said she was with AGA and that I owed a $800 debt with Newport News and was very rude and when I asked her for her supervisor she said she was one, After she kept raising her voice because I would not verify any personal information, I hung up on her and will be reporting the agency to the state, never had a Newport news account.

I have gotten several phone calls from a Mr. Scott and all he says is, "This is Mr. Scott.  Please call me back as soon as possible".  However he leaves no number or anything like I"m supposed to be magic and know how to contact him.  Then today I got a call at work from a Casey claiming to be with AGA & Associates.  I'm glad I googled them because now I will NOT call her back as I see it is a scam.  Thanks for all of the information!

They call from various area codes so they look local, but I can't find out where they are really located. My call came from 806 area code which is Lubbock/Amarillo, TX. I'm in that area, so I guess they figured I'd answer a local call, but not a toll free call.

"Casey" just called me for the fourth time in a week. I immediately asked for her physical address and she asked why I was being so rude and if I was in a bad mood. I told her she'd be in a bad mood if someone kept calling her phone. She went on to say that she doesn't provide the address to "strangers."  I told her a legitimate business would be providing an address so that the person she's trying to reach can contact her.

She also wouldn't give me a call-back number even though she wants a call back. (????)

Last week she said she had "financial documents" to be filed. I told her to just file them and quit calling since Federal law required a Dunning letter five days after the first call. She said they tried to send a letter. (????)

Sheesh, AGA - if you're going to play a scam, at least try to make it legitimate.

I received a call last week from AGA and ASSociates the man told me I had a $1000.00 phone bill from sprint that I didn't pay, I told him I never had sprint and didn't know what he was talking about. He told me I did know what he was talking about and I said I didn't, anyway he finally hung up on me. Well today 9-24 13 I get another phone call from the same guy (I knew that voice) while he was talking I told him "like I told you last week when you called I don't and never did have a sprint account, well now he said it wasn't sprint that it was AT&T and that the bill was &1300.00 once again I told him he was f-ing crazy and he needed to stop calling me, he said that he was going to file something with the IRS and also start taking money out of my back accounts. I asked him to send me proof of where this bill was from and he told me it was from 1994 and that I have been getting letters, phone calls, and that this was the 3rd collection agency it has been with. Well, I could take him anymore so I told him he was f-ing nuts and I hung up on him.
I then called AT&T to find out what is going on and like I told the nut case that called, she (AT&T) told me I have never had a bill ever in my name, so she called this AGA and ASSociates with me on the line and they said it was not AT&T but a sprint bill, I said well 10 minutes ago it was AT&T now it is back to sprint, well needless to say he hung up on me and the nice lady from AT&T. We called back and a lady answered the phone this time and after a few choice words we finally got a phone number from her and we hung up on her. We then called sprint and the lady from AT&T talked to sprint to help me out and I never had an account with sprint either. So I am going to call these crazy people tomorrow and I am going to record it, cause I am going to tell them that I did some investigating and with the name, number,and everything else I have never had an account with sprint or att&t so they need to stop calling me or I am going to call the police and file a report for harassment and if they try to take any money out of my account I will sue them. I am also to call a lawyer tomorrow to find out if there is anything I can do to these horrible people that are making my life a wreck. I have a heart condition and my blood pressure is up because of all this.

Get a consumer law attorney and go after them for making illegal threats. They CANNOT turn in a 1099-C on an unvalidated debt---nor could they take her social security, even if the debt was valid!

I got a call from a Reggie with AGA &Assoc. Said he was collecting on old credit card debt of my mothers' she's now 93 said if we didn't settle immediately it would be turned to IRS & they would take her Social Security.

Hi I too am received a call from this person claiming to be with your company and wanting several hundred dollars.  You may want to research this and file a claim since they claim to be representing your company.

Do you have a rude woman by the name of Casey from 305-400-0812 working for you at AGA?  Because she just called me and threatened legal action over a payday loan from 2008 that I never took out.  It is not on any of my 3 credit reports.  She refused to send me anything in the mail due to the fact that "they have been sending mailings for years" and I was told it would be referred for court intervention and considered check fraud.  Claimed to have a copy of my photo id and SS card!  Scary!

This woman was rude, threatening, and trying to intimidate me.  Did not work.  I did not take out a payday loan, and nothing is on my credit report.  if you could respond and let me know if this woman is legitimate I would appreciate it greatly.  I'm slightly scared that my ID could have been compromised.

Yes Kelsey, I'm running a collection agency (in addition to holding two other jobs) working 16+ hours per day. I have never conducted "my self" in unprofessional or illegal manner related to my business. Maybe you should first learn what professional collection agency does before offering your opinion. Just ask 100's of my clients (business owners who never got paid by their clients) what they think about my business.

I received a call from a 682 area code. Actually, they called my mother and left a msg. They told her something about an affidavit and my 2012 tax return. She then gave me the number. When I called them it was an answering machine. Imagine that.

I received a call from (714) 486-0702. It was from the same company AGA and Associates. Caller was Chris Davis. Refused to give me their mailing address or any contact info from their alleged office. Was very aggressive and threatened me with actions he will start with the IRS unless I agree to compromise and pay a debt they allege I owe. I was so livid after the call that I immediately Googled this company and found several complaints. I am filing a complaint with the FTC, Dept of consumer affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I have also told Chris and his supervisor to cease calling my cell phone. I believe this is a collection scam and I encourage others to report them so they can be held accountable.

On an unvalidated and out-of-statute debt? Hell, no!

I just got a call from this company and spoke to a guy named Eric. He is threatening me with a 1099 C. This debt is from 1999. It's not even on my credit report? Can they do this????????????????????????
