I did have my "ride" in the shop recently.. This call came  while I was away form phone and no message..
I expect i'll hear from them again  then.

I recently purchased a ford vehicle from carmax and had some software update done at a local ford dealership. I would suggest you either answer the call (takes only about 15 seconds) answer a couple of questions 2 or 3 about the service, how satisfied you were, etc or call your dealership and ask them to remove your number from their records, or, "update" your number to an office fax number or something like that.

received call from 310-692-4905.  they hung up after 2 rings.   Don;t know anyone at this phone number.

This company calls and hangs up after 1 ring with recorded message that you cannot ask them to stop

I just had my truck serviced at the Ford dealer in Rio Rancho, so the info about the Ford dealer survey makes sense.  But who wants to be called at 8:00 p.m. on their cell to answer questions about their car repair.
SUPER ANNOYING, FORD!  I refuse to answer.

I've been getting calls from this number and have never answered them, but from these posts it sounds like it's from a Ford dealership, though I don't own a Ford and never have.  There's no reason that they should have my number.

Its very simple, Just ANSWER the damn call. Answer and then you will know who the hell it is.

calls come to my home phone and then started to my cell phone daily.  did not answer any of them as this number is an unknown caller to me.

I received a phone call at 7pm from this number. A lady with a heavy foreign accent asked me if I would answer a survey for a GM dealer I just had my car at. I said yes but I could not understand her first question. I had her repeat it 3 times and she gave up. She said she would call back later for a better connection. She called back an hour later but I ignored it. I live in Oklahoma and the call is from California.

These calls are totally legitimate.  Dealerships (any - GM FORD etc) hire these third party companies to handle follow up service calls to customers.  They handle dealers all over the country, which is why the call is not local to you.  They are overly persistent, though....drive me crazy....but I guess they are paid to call so they do.

I never had my car fixed, and this number calls me four times a day, so it cannot be a legitimate call.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone at 11:45am on 6/3/13. I did not answer it and they (it?) did not leave a message. First time I've gotten a call from this number. Assuming it is a SPAMBOT type of scam call.

I received a call from the phone number 310-692-4905 at 2:31 PM on 05/08/2013. I did not answer because I was at work and the person who called did not leave a message. Just wanted to make a note of this call somewhere in case the person calling from this number is involved in illegal activity. It could be just a mistaken call.

Who is calling me from this number? No message.

Call cell phone almost twice daily for last week or so. No voice msg, and I don't pick up. Will not call them back as that helps them to target me.

As others have said, it's a legitimate service that conducts post-service surveys for auto dealers across the country. The company apparently goes through a switchboard in Inglewood, CA.

Oddly, I believe the woman I "spoke" with for my survey was actually an automated response program. Definite uncanny valley territory.

I've been getting a call daily from this number for about 4 days straight...no msg. left when I don't answer.  I know everyone is saying it's to check on service received by car dealership, however....I don't own a Toyota or a Ford, or a Nissan, and I haven't had any service done on my vehicle make at any dealership. So legit or not legit I don't know...odd...definitely.  Just thought I would throw my two cents in.

The trick is to call them early in the morning, before they open, and get their message. They're an outbound opinion call center. They even have the corporate toll free number on the message, I guess you could call and complain.

Same call after Texas Toyota in Grapevine serviced my car. Persistent too, I refused to answer for several days, yet these creeps kept calling.

The caller id says "AUTO FOLLOWUP."

I had specifically asked Texas Toyota to not disturb me. I am complaining to the Texas AG about this telephone harassment, and I will visit a manager in Grapevine to inform him.

Interesting viewing the comments, it's not just Toyota. Perhaps Toyota did not authorize this so-called survey?
