Recieved the same calls. If you really study what they are doing they really are a lot of holes in their story. I was asked right away for my attorneys number so they could fax an affadavit. The Indian accented man gave me same crap that I had three charges filed against me. The first mistake he made was leaving a detailed voice mail or my cell phone which doesnt have my name in greeting. It is my understanding, you cant leave information such as this on a phone unless you are 100% sure who you are talking too. The 2nd was he said the company was willing to write off the debt but then proceeded to tell me I needed to contact my parole officer if I was on parole ( I am not) and a lot of people will know about this. I told him he had the wrong person and he said no I was the right person. He then assked if he could read the charges against me ( didnt know the attorney that is prosecuting you was responsible to do that). I really started getting the feeling this was a scam, but I must admit, I could see someone falling for it, especially if there was a reason they didnt need interaction with the police, such as someone on probation or parole. He reads me my charges and then asks if I have any questions. I said yes"how much was the loan and when did I take it out?". He was slowed by question and said he didnt have that information. I asked him if he expected me to believe this was real and he couldnt tell me any specifics about my case. He became very angry and said he didnt appreciate my attitude. I replied, I dont appreciate you wasting my time and to get a real honest job. He didnt stop though, he began threatening me, he said I would be arrested Monday, at my work place. This was on a Tuesday. I asked him if he had the time scheduled so I could be on the lookout, which infuriated the clown. I told him to go ahead and arrest me that day or the next and he hung up.
Scam 100%   Hope no one falls victim. I am kinda of curious what the plan was if I just went along with all he asked.

This guy won't stop calling me either. He said there was a case against me and my social. I have been BOMBARDED with ppl calling me ever since I applied for a payday loan. I WILL NEVER ENTER OR APPLY FOR A LOAN ONLINE AGAIN. THEY SELL YOUR INFO TO WHO KNOWS WHO. I called the police and they have received several complaints against people. This fool got lippy with me and told me if I didn't call the number back with my attorney's information my "life and job would be dependant on it." Fu*king crackhead I lost it and keep calling him back just to piss him off. DON'T GET SCARED BY THESE DIRTBAGS!! I closed my checking account just to be safe. Also don't ever apply online for a payday loan I had $60 deducted from my account for a "processing fee" and I never got the loan with that company so I will be getting the money back from those fools. UGH LOSERS I'M SO MAD!!

I get them 2 or 3 times a day and don't know how to make them stop!

yeah i just got that call a few minutes ago and he left a voice mail saying he had my ss number and etc also i notice when he called me and said what company or firm he represents the name of the organization was like blocked or something it sounded like it was out of reception

Same as all the rest. Was going to take a payday loan, but decided not to. Now I get numerous calls and emails everyday. Today was the first from the indian accent a**hole. Threatening me. I placed a fraud alert on my social with the credit reporting agencies. Hoe stupid do these people think we are. I don't think a law firm would sound like a call center. SCAM!!!!. Don't fall for it. And these stupid a** names they use, sounds like they have been watching Buckaroo Bonzai to much.

I just called and had a officer of the law talk to them. Its definitely a scam. The officer recorded the call and when played back we noticed that the guy would never give clear info. He tried to say that I owed from a year ago, but I couldn't because I was in jail. The officer asked the guy if they were lending money to people from jail, and I almost fell out of my chair. It's sad because how many people have they scammed into thinking this crap was a real collection agency. The officer made some very good points, if they threaten you report them to your local police departments, because a threats a threat and you don't know if these guys are crazy or not. Good luck and don't fall for this bull sh-t!!!

just like others reporters, i hv been receiving calls from this 310... number, i always ignore d calls, but d stupid guy will leave a treat voice mail with a strong Indian ascent regarding some SSN claims against me and that he is the attorney that is in charge of the case, that i should not ignore d call, if i do, its up to me...i got angry and decided to call d number back this morning, i was able to speak with him, then he told me there is 3 federal fraud claims against me regarding an unsecured loan that was deposited into my bank acct which i didn't pay back. i told him i m not aware of all this and its all false allegations, he then said that what do i want to do? if i would like to settle d loan in d amount of $2,800+? i said its all false accusation and i m not doing anything. lastly he said, if so, some pple will come n arrest me on Friday at my job, n take me to court, that if i loose the case at court, my drivers lic will be suspended for 6 months and other craps..after i hang up, something in me told me its all scam, so i decide to Google d phone number and i found out that other pple have received dsame calls. i decided to call d customer service of the payday loan that i applied for n later turn down, and complain to them, they told me that they are not aware of it that i should go and file a complain at the nearest police dept, so they can investigate these scammers... beware everybody, don't fall victim..

I got the same call as u.. its been going on for weeks now. It all started after i tried to apply for a loan over the internet but then decided I didnt want to go that route. After I had alread gave payday loans all my info it was too late. They call at least 6 to 10 times a day. The heavy accented guy sounds like an india or pakastian. When i couldnt understand him and asked for an american so i could undrstand what he said..he told me to go F**K myself and told me to shut my big fat mouth. He says he is with some law firm  and attorneys outta california.I told him for an attorney and he had a foul mouth,He then wanted to speak with my husband and I said I took care all the money side of my house. If its a woman they get very rude and say things that noone should be called. They said I got a 1500.00 advance into my checking account and i never repaid it so now i was gonna go to jail, and the investigation was ongoing and the FBI was gonna be called. I tried to tell them I never got any loan and he then got rude and was screaming as i was talking. the louder I got he did the same.But the clincher in this all was when he said that he was gonna F**k me up and bomb my house and that i would never see my family again.,scared me..These A-holes are freaking NUTS!!!I guess I am gonna have to change my checking acct numbers and my phone numbers. Can't we do anything to stop these freaks..

I got a call at school today, while in class telling me that there are 3 federal charges against me including back fraud. I was told I could settle out of court for 600.00 dollars. I checked into it and found this website. They didn't get any money of me changed my bank account debit card and made my bank aware of this issue. They called my work impersonating California state attorney, but when my attorney called they wouldn't answer the phone and voice mail was full. When they realized that I wouldn't pay them I got a call from another place out of Illinois with the same scam wanting 725.00 dollars that I could pay with debit, credit card or western union it. This is a scam even called my local state attorney who told me they had a lot of calls from all over the country about this scam. So do not fall victim to this scam. The second number was 312-473-1606. Please contact everyone including your work since they will call them as well even contact the number who suppose to have got the case against you let them know that their company is using them for scams

I received 2 phone calls from 310-693-2423 in regards to a payday loan that I never received. The first guy I spoke to was Travis Walker. He stated that I was going to be arrested for fraud against Cash Advance USA. He said that Investigations was going to contact my employer so now I will probably lose my job. I asked him if there was any way to resolve this and he said that I will have to go to court. When I became upset with him, his exact words to me were " I guess you will go to jail and be unemployed, May God be with you". Lesson learned, never apply for a Pay Day Loan again. Does anyone feel like this is a scam?

Just got the same heavily accented person calling at work - asked for a person who hasn't worked here in at least 3 years....bizarre.  Caller ID said LAX Hotel.

Same thing with me... They must not be able to get away with this crap... I was about to call the police to! but if the police know that its identity theft why can they not do anything about this crap. I mean seriously. This guy called me a F**king j***off.. Seriously who says that to someone and works at a law office.. We need to do something to get these people introuble if they want to go around acting that way I mean come on impersinating and attorney, given false alligations or something.. they say I am being sued because I got a loan which I did not and when these people tried to retrieve the money back there was nothing in the account to get back....
Cant we counter sue of something.. Dont really know much about legal system but we must be able to do something

This same jerk just called my work # - using the same exact script. I just want it to stop it is so annoying. I just called it back and the first time they hung up - the second time a guy with an accent answered very softly stating the name of a law office I couldn't quite make out, then said how can I help you. I just hung up since I am calling from work - I am so angry. They should not be able to get away with this.

Someone with a very heavy accent also called me and left this number. He scared the hell out of my parents - I haven't lived with my parents in over 10 years - but this person called my parents' home # two times a month ago - with the same script as I am seeing here. Saying very angrily that I or my attorney must call him back - OR - "All he can do is wish me luck with whatever unfolds". Now a month later they are calling my cell phone! How can they get away with this crap - and better yet, how can we stop it?" I filed bankruptcy one year ago and have nothing in default - so I figured it was a scam...glad I found this so I can let my parents know for sure to not answer that number or give them any information. Thanks for letting me vent.

this number has been calling me for weeks. message from a dan rosen with an indian accent. when i called back the answered phone like a regular hopuse call, stated i  have to call on monday and hung up on me. i called back several times the guyon the other line stated he was just a security guard and cannot transfer the call. he DOSENT WANT TO DO IT. i called the police and they said its identiy theft. Dont give any info out.

His name was BEN WILSON that's the name left on my voice mail. When I called back his name was STEVEN JOHNSON. It was hard  understand what he was saying but he asked me question about my job, if I have dependent and if I have someone to take care of them anyways he said I have 3 federal charges against me and a law suit regarding a loan. The number I was call from was 310-693-2423 and it came out Name Unavailable but the second time he called the same number and the name was LAX HOTEL VENTURE.

Heavy accent people calling saying I have a legal case against me ! I don't! This is a scam ..

I don't know how or when these people got my number.  Every week I get a call from someone with a heavy indian accent and always threatens that I have a legal case agaisnt me.  This is a scam.  For a whole month they've saying the same thing.  I've yet to be arrested!!!  Hint: if the "FEDS"  were after me I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be giving me a courtesy call.  LOSERS!
