Got a text that asked if I was trying to keep up with credit card payments and was more than 15k in debt and saying they could help...

I too received the text message offering a mortgage solution. I am with Verizon and am not sure how to block such text messages, but I will find out!

I keep getting text's from this #. How do I stop them.

Received my first spam text on a Sprint phone with a number less than 2 weeks old.  Message stated, "Dear homeowner, interest rates are at historic lows. Now is the time to refinance. May we give you a call regarding this?".  I sent a new text to 9999 containing only "Block 310-694-6965" and received an immediate reply from "9999: SprintFreeMsg" stating, "Text messages from "3106946965" are now blocked".  I'm now thinking I should have replied yes, and gone through whatever motions needed to set up an appointment so I could punch someone in the face.  What @$$holes!

Consider filing a complaint with the FCC. If enough people do, they'll hopefully crack down on these jerks:

Received a call from this number.  I am on the DO-NOT-CALL list and am charged for all text messages received.  I am reporting this phone to the DO-NOT-CALL number.  Attempts to call the number state no voice mail box set up.

This number keeps sending text messages to my cell phone asking if they can lower my mortgage payments.

Got a text:

"Dear homeowner, if you are struggling to make your mortgage payment or have recent hardship, a modification can help. Would you like to learn more about this?"

This is even worse than spam calls because it deducts from my plan without giving me the option to ignore. This company should be prosecuted to the full degree before others think that they can do the same.

I keep getting texts to lower my mortgage rates, I tried to get them to stop by texting them back asking them to stop. I didn't think at the time they are probably phishing.

Quite sure that either WellsFargo or Mint.com sold the number to that spammer.

Got one also. Told AT&T about it and gave them the number it's coming from. Also texted them back that I wanted no more from them.

I too got a text from them during the day. Don't know how they got my number.

11:55 a.m. 11/5/09: offering mortgage relief with this phone number. when you call it to complain, no one answers!!!!!

They send me text messages offering their mortgage services.
