(818)357-3915 is a T-Mobile number based in Northridge, CA, according to whitepages.com. The 310-818-9027 number is a landline in Compton. The Woodland Hills address is of course an anonymous LA office park.

There is a Jeffrey Cole from Woodland Hills who is the registrant for digitalcenter.org, but I doubt it's the same cat; this Prof. Cole seems to be a little too legit to be doing the money scamming business (http://www.digitalcenter.org/pages/person_details.asp?intTypeId=3). I think I will write a kind letter to the latter Mr. Cole to inform him of his info being used for a scam like this, and the T-Mobile number (if it is still active might receive an early morning call inquiring about his business.

Are there any regulations on SMS spam?
