Yes, you are right! I feel they are incompetent and not ethical. It was the worst job I ever had.  That's why I quit them in the 90s!

Got call from rude gal today, saying can save money on Nicor bill.   Can you go get it? ok.   asked about Monthly customer charge and Therm rate,  then asked for account number.    Asked her who she was with, said Santana, no name.    Very rude in most answers.  short, rude.    Told her if she's working with Nicor, how'd she get my phone number without my account number.    Starting getting snippy, so I told her that I didn't like her approach and she hung up on me.    If it walks like a duck (scam) and sounds like a duck, it's probably a duck.

They call daily. Most of the time I do not answer. I have twice asked that they stop calling. We will see if they listen this time.

They have kep calling every other day in last 3-4 weeks. Never answered but they don't stop calling.

I called the number back and the man who answered was polite, and confirmed the number, saying he would be sure not to call it again. We'll see....

We have been getting this call for the last 4 days and when they do leave a message, it is a guy with an Indian Accent so thick we can't understand what he is saying. I listened to the message multiple times and I couldn't make out a word of it... And I'm pretty good with understanding accents.

I Googled the number and got this forum and a few others. We have no Nicor Accounts; we have no Visa Accounts, so I am just going to assume this is a SPAM CALL to my Cell Phone and Ignore them.

I have a list of numbers on our phones just called "No" and set with a custom ring-tone of Silence. (So it doesn't ring at all) and we never worry about these people ever again.

Called back the number and after 10 rings they answered "Santana Energy Services" - I hung up.

201-520-4633 is a call routed through New Jersey that goes to a call center in India.  They are fraudulently cold calling on behalf of "Santanna Energy Services" who has offices at 120 E Ogden Ave Suite 236. Hinsdale, IL 60521.

The representatives on the phone are obviously from India, yet they say they are in South Carolina and have names such as "Dennis Miller" or "Joe Garcia."  When pressed for the true information- they say they can not give any information out "for security purposes."

Santanna Energy Services phone number in Illinois is 800-764-4427 or  (630)789-0914 and they have been involved in fraudulent practices in the past. Douglas G Cueller is the Vice President and if you google his name you will see court dockets that give details of actions by the Illinois Attorney General. They were fined several million dollars for deceptive practices- and now apparantly are at it again.

I suspect their will be forthcoming class action lawsuits against Santanna for employing misleading and fraudulent marketing practices.

Best thing to do is to file a complaint with your states attorney general.

Add to above:  the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) of Illinois askes that you please call them & let them know if this company is overstepping marketing laws.  They are monitoring this & many other "energy" companies that claim they can save you money on your gas bill.

I'm calling tomorrow to let them know Santanna (by way of ALLSECTECH) are calling way too often & then no one is there when you answer.  And I'm telling them to check out this site & see all the complaints there are.

They call regularly; I just don't answer any more, but I did dig up more info about them.  The name of the company behind these calls in Santanna Energy Services.  They are based in Illinois, out of Hinsdale. 120 E Ogden Ave. 1-800-764-4423.

The first time I got the call the ID said ALLSECTECH; now it just says NJ CALL.  As I said in a previous post, the Allsectech is an out-bound call center in India; they are making these calls on behalf of Santanna.

I'm the one that posted that the caller said his name is Kevin Watson.  I have now received calls from Jennifer Stevenson and Brenda Jones as well.  If you spoke with these folks, you'd know why this is funny.  They should at least be able to give you their real names.

Asked for the person in charge of the Nicor account.  I asked if it was regarding an overdue bill.  He said no, he was offering a money saving program.  He said that his name was Kevin Watson and could be reached at (201)520-4663.  Honestly, I would guess that every male there has the name Kevin Watson.

They call at least once a week at my work, and it sounds like the same guy with the same accent.

Call the number back, and you get a live person.  Insist they remove you from their list.  I just did, we will see if I get any more calls.

Says "New Jersey Call" on my caller ID.  I have it blocked on my phone, so they just get a busy signal!  It continues to call every morning at around 8:15 am Central time since July 15, 2008.
