If you do not have an existing business relation or non-profit relation, this is illegal if your are registered in the do not call list, federal database. I believe fine can range up to 2k per infraction, register on do not call first, then answer and get addresses, business ID. That alone will stop it as they will prob hang up and tag you to never call back. If not then you have a case we reward as they are breaking federal law.

I answered and the man wanted to lower my credit card interest rate and verify some digits of my credit card. He mentioned a few credit cards but made no reference to any. I refused and asked who he was. He gave a name that sounded like a collection agency and he started a script about how he wasn't going to ask certain info. I told him he had called me so he should have enough info to do the process if he was from my bank. I hung up.

This number called me once, left no message, and when I called them back multiple times I got a busy signal every time

And i yelled at him.... haven't gotten the call since.

Phishing scam-offered to lower my credit card interest.  Only problem: I suffered brain damage in a car wreck & gave up credit cards because I lost math function.  When I told them that & requested that they take my name off their list, the man (with a heavy foreign accent) tried to argue with me!  Beware: don't give these scammers ANY personal info or you'll find yourself in a world of financial hurt when they use your info to steal your ID!

These jerks keep calling even after I have requested numerous times that they take me off their call list.

Just called my mobile and left a message about lowering my interest rate. It was a partial message asking me to press numbers.  Considering I have no credit cards, it's probably safe to assume this is a scam.
