Some text message solicitation to, "eliminate 90% of my debt..." Just what the world needs, to get text messages from a-holes trying to sell me their junk. How do I block these type of texts!?
| Grizzled 2011-06-06 20:45:27 Unknown |
Call originates from Santa Monica, CA (at least today) offering to eliminate 90% of debt -- the thing is as bogus as fools gold. Whatever you do, don't respond to the text. The originator is looking to build an archive of valid cell phone numbers that have text capability -- likely to sell it to another telemarketer who will then drive you nuts.
Speaking of nuts, we can agree where these people should find my boot.

I have no idea who it was.

Got a spam text from them--"eliminate 90 percent of your debt today!".

These slobs just texted my cell phone with the same GET OUT OF DEBT crap-message, and WHERE did they get the number? From TracFone?? Does TracFone sell our numbers to junk-callers like this? This is an outrage!

Text message spam, seriously? This weird "eliminate your debt" text raised a red flag with me immediately because I HAVE NO DEBT. Not a single cent. Also, here's the link to file a complaint if you're already on the Do Not Call registry. https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
I filed a complaint with both the FCC and the DNC. I've finally gotten to the point of not getting any unwanted phone calls, and now I'm getting text spam. Just thrilled about that. Also, anyone know if there's a course of action I can pursue because these texts cost me money on my phone bill?

I reported them to the Do Not Call Registry as well as the FCC. Just what I want. Text message spam. Ugh...

Got the same text message. To file a complaint online with the FCC, go here: https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088G

Got the same text message shown above by others even though I am on DNC. I see this caller also uses 310-866-2046 and 310-866-2282 per 800notes. Without paying money, I only know it is a Santa Monica number.

Got the same message tonight. I filed a complaint online with the FCC as well. It was easy to do and I suggest we all do it. This is ridiculous that despite being listed with "DNC" list, we still put up with this spam.

Same message about debt. I called the number to rage out and got the voicemail which simply said, F#*% You" then was told the mailbox was full. I called the FCC and made a complaint please do the same so we can nail these b*****ds.

I just got the same text ... save up to 82% on my debt ... blah blah blah.

I got a text saying I can save money on my debt and to text back yes or no to opt out or email optout4@yahoo.com
Can you say.. idiots? I am on the no call list, but who knows what anything means anymore. Once you are sold out to a list, say hello to spam. I think we just have to get new phone numbers often. But, then I may get spam for the last person who owned that number..
Ugh!

Levi - this is number has sent a txt message like an advertisment asking to reply if I want to get ride of 82% of my debt. I noticed it wasn't a company's txting number so I called and the voicemail said "F*** You" and then said the mailbox was full.
