You should know that those people calling you are agents/employees of some businesses doing their job... If you are an IT person you will know that the call is computer generated.. so how will they know that the number showed up on your caller ID is spoofed like you just said? I can feel that you are bragging when you said that when started trying to talk over you, you told him to never call again and hung up on him. Now with what you did... what makes you any difference with the name you tagged to them?

Insurance Marketing agency called wanting me to represent their products. I'm a licensed Insurance agent.

I put these people on Hold until they hang up. They do not leave voice mail messages, and refuse to take us off the calling list. Aint Nobody got time for that!

These morons just randomly called asking for the head of our IT dept., caller ID showed up spoofed as the name and number of some other random person in our area code. Started trying to talk over me as I told him to never call again, hung up on him.

Person asked for IT Manager, told her this was not the IT Manager and asked who she was with. She had an accent and I asked her twice who she was, and the second time she YELLED at me that I heard her and then hung up.

Were making thousands of leads a day and you said were stupid? Now tell me how can we get through with that if were not smart and confident enough to talk with those C-Level persons for a well-known company? And one thing, being mean has been one of stupidest thing ever. If you know what I mean.
Steve Griffin 2013-04-19 18:25:39 Unknown
They were just in perfect timing since were having trouble on our IT Systems that time. Those whitepapers they sent me helped us enough to at least minimize the problems we've encountered. The girl I've talked was nice and kind so I guess not all employees working on that company are annoying. Just maybe some of them, shall I say.

Just see things positively sir. why not answer once for them not to go and call again and again . Have a good day everyone :)

Stupid people who make unsolicited calls deserve any meanness the person sees fit to dish out.

Dont be mean my Friend.
yef 2013-04-19 14:21:05 Unknown
They may not be annoying to you because you are clearly one of them. To try to insist that they are not annoying when pretty much every other poster has indicated that they are, is just idiotic.
"Just doing their job" is also a lame excuse. Bank robbers are "just doing their job" too, so does that make it ok?
Sorita 2013-04-19 14:07:59 Unknown
they are not annoying. they are just doing their job. and its business. not sales. keep your eyes wide open guys
yef 2013-04-16 21:14:48 Unknown
Why don't you go get a real job in which people actually value what you do? Nobody who has posted here values your repeat calls, which certainly do not help these companies save time and money.
ANNOYING YOU THOUGHT! 2013-04-16 21:09:52 Unknown
But just want to make it clear that our intention is to help your company save time, money and operate more efficiently. A client can decline though. And if they want us to put their name on our DO NOT CALL LIST, then we will. That's if they're the one who told us to do so.

Received a call today from someone who clearly couldn't communicate well and was asking for details about my company. What made me very, very uncomfortable is that he knew my name, like he was thumbing through some whois directory for technical/webmaster addresses like some sort of scam artist. I told him my boss was the one he'd want to talk to, and he immediately cut it off.
Not annoyed, just disgusted. 2013-03-12 16:37:08 Unknown
It is also the job of the receptionist to screen out calls that would interrupt us from our busy days and be a complete waist of our valuable time. If we do not wish to accept your calls, that is our right. If we ask you to stop calling, that is also our right and a request that a legitimate company would take seriously and would honor. Rejection is part of your business and if you cannot handle that, you are in the wrong business. To respond with "Operators/receptionists, it is your job to transfer calls" is very condescending and indicative of the type of people and companies that our organization would prefer not to deal with.
Annoying You Thought! 2013-02-27 22:33:18 Unknown
About calling 2-5 times a day? The thing is, it is in our dialer that makes the same call many times in a day. Though in some ways, it is on how we disposed calls, but no agents mean it anyway.
Annoying You Thought! 2013-02-27 22:17:22 Survey
Yea. There's just these agents from whitepapers weekly who haven't tried calling yet but are confident to do so, and because of that, they were given a chance to try as a part of the training process. And unfortunately, no one appreciates it. It's not that they're stupid women or men, but might be an effect of being nervous since it's their FIRST TIME to call. And before I forgot, we're not a TELEMARKETERS, SPAMMERS, or ANNOYING. We're a surveyor. Doing surveys and that's it! And as a token of our appreciation, we will going to send those free white papers without any obligations ( to those persons who want it, of course). Operators/receptionists, it is your job to transfer calls and it our job to call. So isn't it fair enough that we all are working? And besides, it is our not our intention to annoy anyone of you.
Thank you.

Call my work number, no message left

Called our business last week, asked to speak to a person who left our company 10 years ago. I told them that and they asked for our IT person. I said that he does not work in-house and to please remove our number from their list. Received another call from them today.
Like others have said, there was a bad echo both callers spoke English pretty clearly but they did both have Asian accents.

Asked to speak with a specific person (who happens to be the business owner, probably from domain name registration). Claims to be doing a "survey" on IT Support...

Called and did not leave a message
red mustang 2012-09-28 13:54:05 Telemarketer
Same as most of the others. They are so annoying as they call every day sometimes 2-5 times a day. No one in our IT dept wants to take these calls so I put them on hold and leve them there. Eventually they hang up. Oh, sometimes a man sometimes a woman. When I say to them to take us off their calling list they always say "this is not a sales call".. in their broken English they say that they are wanting to update the information (they already have) to contine our subscription --- when in fact they are PHISHING to get all the names they can because the more names they have the more luck they have in "connecting" with someone, which is what they want to do (note: they never leave a voicemail and will continually come back tot he receptionist or operator and ask for someone else. HANG UP or LEAVE THEM ON HOLD.

Got a call/voice mail from this number at 7am this morning. Couldn't make anything out in the message, sounded like a TV was on in the background or something. I work in my company's IT department so that seems consistent with the IT theme of other calls.

I've received several calls today from 310-975-7065, 9-25-2012. When i say hello and identify myself and company name, there is a pause, then a hang up...annoying.
