I received a call from 206.187.2732... 3 seconds n hang up...??? Hmmm... Any ideas out there?

This and several other similar 312, 708, 773 numbers calling me every day several times a day.  I asked several times to be put on their do not call list and they still keep calling.
This call is pertaining to your electric bill.
Recent changes allow you to save money on your electricity.
Press 3 to be taken off the energy saving program.
Press 5 to speak to an agent.

My only recommendation is to press *60 on your phone and add to Call Screening.   Good luck.

Unfortunately the 312-187-5581 could be a "spoof" number on the caller ID.    Next time you receive this call, immediately press *60 and try to add last caller to the "call screening list".    It might work.   Joe

Don't know who it is, but we have received phone calls from this number (312-187-5581) starting on 9/20 and 2 each weekday since. We do not answer, as it's 'Name Unavailable' on the caller ID and they never leave a message.

I've repeated received calls from this number. The message purports to be regarding 'recent legislation regarding Commonwealth Edison'. I pressed '5' and asked for a name and number. Of course at this point, they bailed on the phone conversation. I'm on a do not call list and have no sympathy for anyone working for such an organization.

I am replying to my own message that I just left.

I forgot to mention that just because the number may look like it come from, in this case Illinois, Chicago, does not mean that it did. On a recent radio talk show, they had an expert in this field. He claims that the scammers have the technologie to call from, for instance, India, and route it through various countries and states to make it look like it comes from Chicago or wherever.
Just tell everyone you know or come in contact with, not to talk to these scum bags.

I have come to the conclussion that the age of the telephone (home and cell) and internet scum/scam artist has come of age. This is the age of the galoot. The something for nothing crowd.
The govermnment can do nothing about it and these low lives know it. The DNC list is a joke. I have been receiving calls on my cell and home lines for about three months now. It is endless! They don't leave messages.
When I first started receiving these calls and asked to be put on their DNC list, they just hung up on me before I even finished my sentence. My number, for some reason, is on their list. And when the scam caller hangs up on a non-cooperating victim, the victims number is not flagged. The next scam caller just calls it again. Now I never answer a call if I don't recognize the number. If it's important, they can leave a message. They don't care. They just hang up and go to the next sucker.
The problem is that most people, especially the elderly, don't know how to deal with this type of crap.
The scammers wouldn't keep doing it if they weren't making money off of the inocent victims.

Keeps calling my mobile phone multiple times a day. I have never answered it. Last week I had a number with a "147" prefix call repeatedly......same thing, no message and rings three times?
