I have been divorced for 5 years now. My phone keeps getting blown up by collection companies looking for him. I have told them several times that he is not been in my life for years and to take me off there call list and all it does is double the number of calls I get. What do I have to do to stop this stupidity?

I received a call from someone who I could barely hear from (832) 769-4713.  As I was looking up the number to see who it was that called, I received a call from (312) 229-0587.  I'm guessing that they try to get you to answer with a local number and then if they don't reach you, they call from a different number.  Either way, I tried to answer and the delay is so long and the reception in my building is so bad, that I didn't speak with anyone.  At any rate, I will answer when I see another call and if she is rude, she will get the business coupled with where to go and how to get there.  

At least 15 msgs left by various auto-dialers with pre-recorded msgs wanting to talk with "You", as no names of the party attempting to be reached are ever left, and claiming that a file has reached them with info that cannot be left on the msg. I've recorded about a dozen of them to turn over to local media soon. I've done debt-collections before, so this must be a scam situation. This caller ID'd as "Miss Miley".

Left message today, said it was Miss Wiley and had a sensitive issue to discuss.  Did not return the call.  I do not owe anyone any money.

I have people calling me, for a person with the same name, who used to live in my town, now they google the guy's name and my info comes up, and once you square it with one of these scum bags, they sell it to another, and it just goes on and on.  I not only get phone calls for this guy, I also receive his bills in the mail, to include his child support invoices, collection agencies, and even correspondence from the IRS.  However, its the phone calls that bother me the most, they call at all hours of the day and night.

I have found the answer to all these annoying calls, it's called the Call Blocker, and it works great. I was looking for the solution to these phone calls, for years, and this is the best solution I have found yet. I bought mine on ebay, and it works like a champ.

Person says they are Ms. Wiley and they have sensitive information to discuss. They do not identify who they are calling, why they are calling or what company they are with.

These are not companies, law firms, or any legitimate collection agency making these calls, they are a bunch of computer hacks that through modern technology have gained access to your personal information through any one of hundreds of data sources. They get information on a past debt, and start calling you trying to sound official and business like, then their true colors show when you question them on it.....then the arguing and profanity begins. I had one such call yesterday, first the girl gets on rambling off a bunch of charges, I rebut her, she puts me on hold...then the "manager" gets on, Mr. Dubois(du-bwah) and can't speak clearly...can't give me any answers.....mentions my brothers name, and my oldest daughters name, told him not to ever call them for anything. Then told him if he persisted, he would be part of a real lawsuit.....hung up on him, as he was calling me every cuss word he could think of!!!

Then got a call from his "process server" who left a very emotionally charged message filled with a rant of me committing every crime in the California Penal Code, short of murder......erased his message. No legitimate law firm or collection agency is going to ever call and leave messages like these. They are to be ignored, until you find the legal solution for putting a stop to it. I'm still trying to figure out what to do, so in the mean time, I laugh at them

Got a phone call left on my answering machine 5 minutes ago from a Christine McCarthy.  Did not identify if she worked for a collection agency or not which I thought is required by law.  Left veiled threatening message stating further action would be taken if I did not contact her ASAP.  

Past experience has shown me that such calls are from collection agencies passing themselves off as law offices or court officers ready to sue you.  To me, this is illegal representation and these agencies should be SUED themselves and thrown out of business.

The caller was Chrisine McCarthy   left a threating message on my land line .I did not respond   or pick it up

The caller, purportedly Christine McCarthy, left a vaguely threatening message at my office voice mail.  I have no financial skeletons in my closet, so I am surmising this is a phishing attempt.
