Just got a call from this number. No ID, no message. Just more aggravation.

I dumped my phone company and use PhonePower Voip. I can block a ton of calls on their website.
And it works wonderfully. I use this company for my fax phone number as well. All my faxes go to my computer and I have stopped wasting ink and paper and I can block the BS calls as well.

These people call you to ask if how you're feeling. Then they try to sell you "FREE" construction work. The message is all you have to do is "Let them into your house" for FREE construction work??

The suggestion of blocking a number may not be sufficient. I received the same recording from the number (636) 207-2007.
To report calls, go to these sites:
"esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm"
On the FCC site it takes longer to fill out the form, but I received an E-Mail from them with a reference number for my complaint.
Does anyone know what happens to the complaint reports?

These people called and it was a robot call offering services to clean air ducts. However we are in California and the call originated from Chicago, IL. Based on some of the comments above this worries me - my wife was foolish and made an appointment. I tried to call the number back and get a message that the call cannot be completed as dialed. Guess I will have to ensure there is security on site when they arrive.

C'mon... Really? Rat b*****ds won't leave messages...
Blocked with Mr. Number. Filing a complaint with FCC and DNC.

Third time call came in from this number. worried that it could be some one I knew. Tried to call back. Stated this is not a number. Who is this and what are they after? Tend to get frequent strange area codes with no explanation. Sometimes they are charities or some thing else maybe legit, but all makes you wonder.

Who is the owner?

Blocking phones do block 30 calls that YOU select. Simply press a few buttons and the offending caller is blocked until YOU unblock or delete them. With the Uniden phone you simply press "BLOCK." It's THAT simple!
Each call is logged into your call-blocking phone in the order received. Older numbers are at the start of the list. If an telemarketer changes their number, simply delete their old number and enter - by pressing a few buttons - their new number.
Remember that this is all done simply, easily and quickly.
These phones also AUTOMATICALLY block -
UNKNOWN NUMBERS
PRIVATE NUMBERS
OUT OF AREA NUMBERS
Additionally, there are other blocking devices that can block entire area codes and hundreds of numbers along with unknown, private and out of area calls - they're quite sophisticated and cost less than $100.
I have had call blocking phones in my office and in my home for nearly 2 years and the telemarketer/scam calls have dropped to nearly ZERO. Now days, I actually look forward to scam/telemarketer calls...If I have the time, I enjoy effing with them and keeping them on the line as long as possible.

Thank you for your less than eloquent reply.
Are you aware that ALL of your robo calls are ILLEGAL? And please tell us why you call numbers that are on the DNC list?
To quote you - YES, "every unwanted call IS a scam!"
Did it occur to you that should a home owner want duct cleaning, we would contact a local, state licensed contractor?
I would urge you to get an education so that you can possibly secure employment that does not require you're breaking federal law and annoying home owners.
you - your - you're Please learn to speak and write in business English.

N****rs trying to scam
croozer 2012-09-13 17:54:15 Telemarketer
Supposedly air duct people. Really annoying.
I was interested in a previous poster's suggesting of buying a call-blocking phone. I love the idea but when researching it, it looks like the maximum amount of blockable numbers is 30. I get so many more calls, and they keep changing their numbers. I still might consider it. Why can't someone stop these idiots?
yourclueless 2012-09-12 20:41:33 Unknown
You idiots need to learn the difference between a sales call and a scam. To you morons, every unwanted call is a scam. You are part of the sky is falling mentality. And you are from california...go figure.
jetames 2012-09-12 19:47:21 Telemarketer
Answered knowing full well that this was a scam call - from Chicago...I'm in California - go figure.
Recording stating that they could clean my ducts "press 1 to speak..."
I pressed 1 and waited for the live person and when he answered, I kept pressing 1 while saying "hello" repeatedly.
The caller hung up...so funny.
I have blocked their spoofed calls.
Buy a call blocking phone. Uniden and Panasonic make excellent call blocking phones and the both come with at least 1 wireless hand set. About $50!

Unwanted call
Suspicious 2011-08-23 00:41:47 Unknown
These people call me at least 6 times a day. I have pressed ""9" to be disconnected and when they kept calling back I pressed "1" to make an appointment. I was really just trying to talk to someone to have them remove my name from their list. As soon as I mentioned that I had pressed "9" she hung up on me! The next time they called I presed "1" to make an appointement (really just to talk to a live person and have them remove my number) and when the guy answered and I asked "who am I speaking to?" he hung up on me.
This is supposedly and air conditioning duct cleaning service, but if they're legit why do they keep hanging up before you can say anything?
