Mrs. Davis calling about the gas bill.

Company contacted our church encouraging us to purchase natural gas from Realgy Energy at a cheaper price than NICOR.  NICOR would still distribute the gas and the bill would still come from NICOR, however at this point of time Realgy's charge per therm is cheaper than NICOR's. so our bill would be less.  Wanted our church to sign up for a 2 year contract at no cost, but would charge an $80 fee if we cancel within the 24 month time period.  They may be cheaper now, but not sure about future.  Realgy would only give me a 2 year history.  He also said he could eliminate the State Revenue Tax, but I'm not sure how he can do that.  We are non-profit, but I thought that was for Sales Tax, and State Revenue Tax is very different than Sales Tax.

Mrs. Davis called here several times (we are a church).  Claimed she was from the gas company in our area.  I confronted her with details from this website and asked her to provide an id number and she got pretty testy.  In the end I told her to stop calling us and she told me that she hoped I find Jesus!  Gotta love it!

A Mr. Joey Russo has called twice asking for our church's person in charge of the NiCor bill.  He keeps saying about a letter sent about removing the State Revenue Tax from our Nicor bill.  Will not give me any more information and wants a call back from the person in charge of the bill.  I am sure this is a telemarketer.  This has happened before.  I am so tied of these peoplke calling the church trying to pull a scam.

I received a call from Ryan - he tells me that no one has returned his call.  He's trying to help us reduce our gas bill.  He even went as far to say that he was from Nicor.

I had a second call from this number they are trying to get you to switch gas suppliers.  They do not tell you that up front.Then they ask for your account number on your NICOR Gas bill.  The first call I received was from Ryan and the second call was from Mrs. Davis.

I also received a phone call from Ryan at extension 1179 regarding my Nicor bill.  I didn't return his call but checked the number using this website. I wasn't surprised to find out it was for solicitation of gas services.  Thanks for providing a means to inquire about unwanted telemarketer calls.

Guy said he was Richard calling from Peoples Gas, then asked  for our billing info so he could "reduce our rate." He claimed to have sent a letter in November, then said he couldn't re-send it due to limited funds. SCAM.

Adding to the previous message...she says her name is "Mrs Davis"....calling about the Nicor Gas bill.

They call and say they are from Nicor, but when you call back, you get a Sprint Mailbox phone number.  I think they are trying to re-sell gas services.
