this number always calls, since I don't know anyone from this number I don't answer, easier than arguing with them. I block them, it has gotten so back from a boat load of calls that I had to turn off my answering machine.
However when they get blocked they have different numbers to -9404 every time they use a different last 4 digits, but they just get blocked, annoying.............................

CALLED THIS NUMBER 312-683-9404 AND A GENTLEMAN NAMED BRIAN ANSWERED AS "POWER ONE" HOW MAY I HELP YOU.  THEY ARE LOCATED AT 770 N LA SALLE STREET, SUITE 600, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS AND ARE AGGRESSIVELY TARGETING COMPANIES FOR ENERGY MANAGEMENT SERVICES.

This call was from US Markets. They try to sell you an online stock market system.

I get calls from COUNCIL P at least 4 days a week. Anytime between 4 - 9:30 PM CST. I let the answering machine pick up and they never leave a message. This has been going on 5 months now. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST also. That has not proven to be effective.

Those fleabags AKA: COUNCIL P. called tonight on 4/4/13 at 7:56 PM CT on a Landline & they also buzzed the other night about 7 PM. As I say: DNC & Unlisted don't mean squat to these lowlifes! I repeat: ENOUGH already!!!

Here we go again! This time it's COUNCIL P. From what I'm reading, it's yet another waste of time telemarket $cam. This was on 3/28/13 at 9:17 AM CT on a Landline. DNC & Unlisted #'s mean zilch to these con artists. ENOUGH already!!!

312-683-9604 displaying only "COUNCIL P" seems clearly fraudulent to me. Obviously this people are hiding something, because caller id can display much larger names, up to 15 characters.  The people using 312-683-9604 could have easily chosen to use a more accurate name, such as "COUNCIL POLICE" or "COUN ST POLICE".

Since when the police needs a charity?  Does anybody know how to find the percentage of the collected money which actually reaches real policemen?

This number showed up as "Council P." When I called the number back, I received a recording saying that they had called me for telemarketing purposes and if I did not want to receive any more calls from them to press 1 to be put on their Do Not Call List. I pressed 1 and I was asked to enter my ten digit telephone number and I would be removed from their call list within 72 hours. This is a first for me and I will report back if it did not work!!

Verified my number has been on the Do Not Call Registry since 10/12.

Called and took a minute for a person to come on the line and ask for me by name.  Said he was with the council of police, or something like that -- not the Illinois State Police.  I said thanks but no thanks and hung up.

Close to but mispronounceded my name.   Claimed I made a donation a year ago to their organization which I know I did not do. So I said o.k, what next, he said hold on for his supervisor and I hung up.

This number same number contacted me and was asking for donations for the Illinois State Police.  The caller ID said "."  When I told the man that I was not donating any money he called me a wench and hung up on me.  Gee, how appropriate and mature.  Way to represent our state police!

312-683-9604 -"Council P" -- This is a telemarketing organization  claiming to represent some type of Police Association. These scam artists contact me several times each year, soliciting for donations. The caller knew my name and started started the conversation by "pretending that he knew me," like he was my "buddy."

Left no message, thanks for the info, I'm blocking the number. Called at 8:30 at night.

They called at 9:42 A.M. on Sat., Nov. 24, 2012.  I did not answer and no message was left.  I am a senior citizen and they woke me up!!  I am so sick and tired of these types of phone calls!  I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.

I've also received several calls from this number; no one answered when I picked up. When I called back, the automated voice said "the mailbox is full". Seems like a scam. Don't bother to answer. Unless they are REALLY desperate for donuts, I can't imagine that a legitimate police agency is calling and asking for donations in this fashion.

This number has called 7 times in the last two weeks.  I finally answered it a week ago.  They asked for my mother by name.  I told them she had died over a year ago and asked them to remove her name and number from their call list.  They called again the next day.  I didn't answer it.  Four days later they called again and I answered it.  The guy asked for my Mom again by name.  I told him that she had died over a year ago and again asked that they remove her name from their call list.  The guy said sarcastically, "Thanks for your time." and hung up.  If this is a legitimate call from a police organization looking for money, they would have better luck getting donations if they used kinder and gentler solicitors.

I picked up the call because I was tired of there constant calls.  He said my name then hung up. I called the number back the outgoing message was the mailbox is full.  No other information.  I won't be answering that call anymore.
