Receiving multiple calls daily from this local # for weeks now.  They never leave a message, and twice when we've answered there is dead air.

I called them back and got a message referring to the Cramer Group (? spelling) and wanted me to leave a message

It's a polling company - Kramer.  Seems legit.

I did a little snooping and disclosed that this number is from Arlington Heights, IL.  The area code is right for this.  However, no message is ever left.

I got a call from this number tonight, and no one was there when I answered. When I called back, a weird answering machine picked up, spouting off about all these calls all the time--as if someone hacked into their voicemail system, or perhaps they just wanted to let the caller know they already knew what we were calling about! I'm still reporting them to the FCC.

Caller said that he was with the Kramer Institute, for the purpose of conducting a survey; he's asked for my wife. When I asked him how he got our number his reply was, "Sir, is (my wife's name) there?" He was very rude, arrogant, and sounded furious that I would question his purpose and intent. He was told to *&#@* off, and I blocked the number from further calls.

A few minutes later I called the number and got a recording saying that the message box for that number is full. I've heard this same message with this type of call before. These surveyers and scammers have dozens of tricks with the phone system that they employ; mostly things the citisen/resident cannot employ.

Got the call last night and my husband answered it.  They asked him if he'd be willing to answer a survey about acute care hospitals.  He told them no and they hung up on him!  Don't know if we got this call because we both work at our local hospital or not but the woman was more than a little rude

Got a call tonight from 312-698-8814. Asked my wife if she worked at an accute-care hospital. Also asked if she supervises more than 10 people. They said thanks and hung up. Could barely hear them. Attempted to call number back and got a voice mail with a wierd message about annoying people who call all the time.

These JERKS keep calling - I activated call screening

Comcast digital voice includes a call screening option.
It rejects the call when caller-id is blocked.
Other phone providers should have similar options ?
- it's worth the call

You can manage this feature by dialing *77/*87 from your Comcast Digital Voice phone - this screens all calls with blocked caller-ID.

To screen specific numbers
at dial-tone hit *60 to access menu
hit 3 to activate screening feature

feature has a limit of 12 screened numbers.

This number shows up 2-3 times a day. The one time I answered, there was a small pause and then they asked to speak to me and said they were from some place I could not understand.  He had a nigerian sounding voice and I hung up after I couldn't understand him a second time.  He keeps calling everyday and I just don't answer.

Person has repeatedly called.  Personally requested that they stop calling - we are on the do not call list.  Received a call the next night again. This needs to stop, when calling they are requesting to speak to a minor.
