Call from 888 - I never answer any 800's  but showed as EKOS  - no message  July2/14

Identified themselves as doing a Probit survey, no information about what the survey was regarding, just wanted me to choose English or French and at that point I hung up. Calling the number back gives a message about being Ekos research and I can leave a number if I want to represent.

Eh I get called by these dudes quite a bit, all I do when they answer is I say "Mike's Texan Grill, you kill 'em we grill 'em." and they hang up. Sadly enough, they still bug me, and if they call the next I'm just going to Rick Roll them.

And this is why I love having an iPhone that can block people's numbers!

Omg I received a call from this exact number

When these calls come in, usually with "Unknown Name/Unknown Caller", I will pick up the phone receiver and grab one of the squeakers that my dog has torn out of one of his squeaky toys.  I squeeze it or continue to squeeze and then let go for about 30 seconds.  I then hang up, wait 15 seconds and call my own number.   I get a busy signal and leave that for up to 30 minutes.  They eventually still call again but it just makes me feel good that I was able to do that to them.  Self satisfaction is not overrated in cases like these!

It's a polling research firm taking a poll on if an election were held today which paty would you vote for
Press 1  for Liberal
Press 2 for NDP
Press 3 for PC

Now on my cell phone's REJECT list -- that works much better than the do-not-call registry.

Ekos Research

Just got this call on my cell. Didn't leave a message. I've added their number to my phone's call block app. I think all solicitation phone companies should be illegal since they are actively harassing people.

I put it on rejack calls on my phone . you can do that I think with any cellphone

On se fait tous appeler par le même numéro sur notre cellulaire . . . peut-être une firme externe engagée ou créée par nos fournisseurs cellulaires pour nous prendre des minutes . . . $$$ pour eux. Mais ce n'est qu'une hypothèse non fondé. Je sais qu'ils nous chargent tous pour nos minutes d'appels et qu'ils nous chargent et 5$ par mois pour bloquer les indésirables.

Just got a call from this number 18886880709. I answered but it was dead at the other end.

They call everyday, several times a day. I work nights and enjoy my sleep during the day. Had to resort to taking the phone, out of my room. When I do answer the phone, half asleep and pissed off, they don't say a word.

I do not want these phone calls

Called my cell 5 times today... it's called many days multiple times. My number is new... Definitely not someone I know, Only 6 or so people have it.

They have called me every evening for the last week on my completely unlisted cell phone that is never used.

They just started calling my home in Toronto.  They called twice but didn't leave a message.  Very annoying.

I would like to stop receiving calls from 1-888-688-0709.   There is no reason for them to call me nor for me to talk to them.  Stop wasting each other's time.

Called 3 times today.  They must really want my input for public opinion research!  NO message left behind - Just incessant calling from their automated interviewing operations. EKOS does have a private policy in place: http://www.ekos.com/privacy/default.asp
but they also warn: "Please note that this site contains links to other web sites which may have different privacy policies than those of EKOS. We encourage you to refer to the privacy policies posted on third party sites."  
So I'm petrified that if I contact them to get off their calling list that I'll wake Cthulhu of Chaos & be dragged into the Hell of unsolicited phone calls.

This is a research company. Unfortunately CRTC does allow these types of companies to call you. You can try to ask them to remove your number.
Most newer cellphones have mechanisms to block calls. In addition Rogers and some others will include blocking free of charge.
