I also got a text message from 312-730-3436 and it also included a "bit.ly" link with "John" at the end. I know better than to click links like this. Hope most people are catching on to this type of SPAM, too.

Like Ted, mine was not a phone call but, rather, a *text message* from 312-730-3436. It included a "bit.ly" link similar to Ted's. Suspicious, I neither called the number nor clicked the link. Ted has now confirmed my suspicions.
