F*** these people calling to tell me My car warranty is expiring. If any one knows how to get a legit number please post it here. The caller ID comes up as TV Plus.

After having gotten 18 calls from a number registered to "PLUS TV" in Chicago IL regarding "the last notice I will get about renewing my (used) car's warranty" and then pressing 2 on numerous occasions through the week to be removed from their list...like the guy above, I pressed 1 to speak to try to complain to a supervisor.  "can I get the year make and model of your car?"  "No"...[click] "I want to complain to your supervisor"  but they had already hung up on me.

I won't call them jerks because I'm giving up words I don't want to taint my kids atttitudes (in a world many give up on as further gone than in any previous generation, and I won't just give up to one profit-hungry misguided organization or a dozen -- of the many normal telemarketers that I insist on not shutting down with the anti-free market do-not-call list).

But I am interested in BBB style / Postmaster General style / truth-in-advertising reforms that might steer telemarketing back into the realm of civilized society.  Thanks for whoever started this page to record my experience on.  Let's get together somehow web-wise to stand for something.

I get calls from this number all the time. They have "important warranty information on my car". Press 1 to talk to a representative, or 2 to get taken off their call list.  After pressing 2 for at least 20 of these calls, I pressed 1 to talk to their representative. He said he didn't call me, that I called him. How do you get rid of these jerks? They have found a way to get around the do-not-call list by having us automatically get switched to a different number to talk to their representative, and even if they say they will take you off their list, they never do.
