Claims to be from Microsoft.says something wrong with computer

Just received a call from this number telling me to change settings on my machine.  When I asked "Which machine?" he said "The Dell" computer. I told him I didn't own a Dell (which was not true). He indicated that he must have the wrong number.  Yes...Indian voice on the other end.  Yes...definitely foreign call through a U.S. number (possibly Google or Skype number).  No...NOT a valid call.

The number called twice with the same guy on the phone that sounded like he was of Indian decent and operating out of a call center.  The first time the number came up with no name, the second time it came up as unknown.  Both times they asked for the person in charge of the household computer.  When they called back I instructed them that we were on the do not call list and that this was an unwanted call and they hung up.  This is very disturbing as I have elderly parents that know very little about computers and it is obvious that is who these guys are trying to prey on.

What the heck is this about?

This number has called and hung up on the voice mail several times in the past week. Today I decided to answer the phone. There was silence on the line, I said hello again, and was clearly hung up on.

Got a call from this number and hung up on it....my new way of dealing with these jerks.  No one should be allowed into a computer unless you are asking for them to....enough spying and info stealing going on these days.......

This person called me stating there is a problem with my computer and wants me to make changes to it.
