ive been called over thirty times by this number man or a woman says my name or my wifes name then hangs up im in the army so i cant just not answer a unknown number could be one of my soldiers.

You are your own first line of defense against bogus phone calls. Your weapon of choice must be Caller ID.
If you see a name and/or number you don't recognize, don't pick up the call. If you do pick up a call, and a voice tells you to push a particular button to get off the calling list, HANG UP! Once you push that button, you are on the "chump list".
Do report such calls to the Federal DNC Registry, and to the FCC.gov DNC complaint site. Read stories here at 800notes in the Forums about how bit by bit, spam/scam/phishing callers and their boiler room robo-call centers are being discovered and dismantled.
Get some kind of call blocking on your phone, too. When a caller gets hit with a phone that rings 50 times, or even 20 times, that should (let us all hope) give them a message that they are not welcome.

This guy called several times. Sometimes it's from a different number but it's always the same guy with a heavy Indian accent. He knows my name and tries to get my medical information.

1 313-405-6784 keeps calling my cell even early am on Sunday. There is never anyone on the other end.
How do they get your mobile number? How can you get them to stop? They are filling my voice mail with blank messages.
